Gentlemen, Start Your Engines....

I bet this only happens in the Philippines. Two tricycles (a motorcycle fitted with a sidecar, a common means of transportation here in the Philippines) drag racing in the runway of a small airport in Lingayen, Pangasinan. One of the tricycles hit and slightly damaged a small plane. Yes, you read it right. They were drag racing in the runway and the plane was about to take off when the two tricycles suddenly darted out of nowhere to claim the airstrip. "Get out of way you stupid plane, I'm on a race here!" Lol

Imagine yourself as the pilot and the student-pilot inside the plane ready to take off. You got your check list to make sure everything is fine and in perfect shape. You can't afford to have problems later on when you're airborne and they probably don't have parachutes strapped to their backs so they got to make sure.... So as the pilot asked permission to take off, (I'm not really sure if the pilot had to ask any authorization, it's really just an airstrip and not an airport) two drag racing tricycles suddenly steal your runway. Yup, I would probably pissed my pants too if I were the pilot or student-pilot inside that plane.

Things that happen in this country are really unexpected and certainly full of surprises. That's what makes our country and our fellow Filipinos unique from the rest of the world. That's what makes us frown, smile, laugh, sometimes it embarrasses us but often times fellow Pinoys just makes us forget our problems temporarily. Despite these negative and shameful things that our corrupt politicians and government officials do, it's the ordinary folks that make me smile and laugh. It's the simple and poor folks that make me love our country more and it's them that make me a proud Pinoy. :)

Classic Tug of War

Two women in Rep. Iggy Arroyo's past life are now causing trouble. His former wife and his girlfriend are both claiming their right to his remains, and more probably on the wealth that he left. I mean, let's be honest. being a fall guy for the Arroyo Clan probably and surely has its rewards, not to mention that Iggy's also a Congressman so he's got lots of money from those pork barrels or Country Wide Development Funds (CDF) lying around somewhere.

Why is it that when a person dies, instead of finally "Resting in Peace" all hell breaks loose instead? I mean, this stuff happens all the time, whether or not you're rich or not so rich, famous or not, some problems from the past literally comes back to bite you in the ass. And it's a dead ass too. I thought all along that when you finally take your last breath and you croak and your old ticker stops, all your problems go away. But no dice, more skeletons in the closet come back to haunt you. Isn't that funny, the dead still being hunted?

I think the real problems arise on the vast wealth and properties that a person has when he dies that causes the dispute. Everybody wants to get more than the other guy or girl or worse, everybody wants to have everything for themselves. I wonder if that is also the same when a really, really poor guy croaks, I bet nobody wants to mess with him. You know, just in case they end up paying for his funeral and maybe his past debts.

Poor Iggy Arroyo, when he was still alive he was the a scapegoat. Now that his dead, he's the rope in a "Tug of War" contest between his women. Speaking of women, "Men really can't live with them and men can't live without them". And for guys, well, it really shows that "Men just can't keep their peckers zipped-up inside their pants all the time". :)

Puerto Princesa Underground River makes it!

Yup! Its official, the Puerto Princesa Underground River makes it to "The New 7 Wonders of the World"! Now tourists, both local and foreign can all flock to Palawan to check out that cave and river rolled into one. It's also the longest of its kind in the world, 8 kilometers long with lots of bats and a "Dugong" or Sea Cow fossil embedded in the cave's ceiling that's believed to be thousands of years old. The UNESCO officially declared the Palawan Underground River as a National Heritage Site a couple of years ago and now it's a part of the New 7 Wonders of the world. I bet it makes every Filipino smile up to their ears!

Tourists can also visit lots of beautiful places in the Philippines and the Pinoys are really famous for being one of the friendliest and most hospitable people in the world. Foreigners can enjoy our great weather, delicious food, top grade hotels, resorts and beaches and the good character of the  Filipinos. Of course, the prices here are cheaper too than those abroad so more bang for their hard-earned money.

So to all foreign and local tourists, come and visit the whole of the Philippines and enjoy what our country has to offer. And to borrow a slogan of the Dept. of tourism, "Tara na, Byahe na! It's definitely more fun in the Philippines! :)

Chinese Broadsheet states U.N. should punish R.P.

A Chinese newspaper said that the Philippines should be sanctioned by the United Nations for siding with the Americans in the Spratlys issue. The comment stemmed from the U.S-R.P. agreement on intensifying their Joint Military Treaty against the threat of terrorism here and abroad.

What? Are the Chinese back to smoking Opium again? Or have they eaten too much siopao or siomai stuffed with pork and cardboard (as discovered and reported by a Chinese TV in China)? The "Chinks" probably drank too much slimming tea spiked with Ephedrine or guzzled lots of milk full of Melamine. They are asking the U.N. to sanction us for being buddies with the U.S? Just what kind of Chinese crap is this?

The Americans have colonized us for more than 50 years after the Spanish. The U.S. troops and the Filipino soldiers and guerrillas fought side by side the  invading Japanese forces in World War II. The U.S. troops and the Filipino soldiers both suffered, died and survived the Bataan Death March which the Japanese Army made thousands of American and Filipino POWs (Prisoners of War) march thousands of kilometers in the hot, blistering sun without any food, water, medical assistance or rest for many days or weeks.

Most of these soldiers were already weak from many months of fighting the Japanese, weak from dysentery, malnourishment and other illnesses. Hundreds more are injured or are dying. Not to mention the Japanese had a field day of killing any prisoner who falters in the march or just paused to drink a dirty pool of water from a ditch or helped a comrade walk. Yes sir, the Japs used their swords or bayonets at will, killing anyone without any reason at all.

The U.S. used to have the 2 largest Military Bases here outside of America many years ago, the former Clark Air Force Base in Pampanga and the Subic Naval Base in Zambales. Ever since I can remember, English have been our secondary languange, heck, most Pinoys speak better English than any other nation in Asia, Europe and South America.

Not only that, most Pinoys love burgers, hotdogs, fried chicken, sodas, ice cream, etc. We love rock music, hip-hop, U.S. actors and films and of course, Western clothes. Yeah, sure, we eat lots of pancit, siopao, siomai, fried rice and tikoy too and we celebrate the New Year with fireworks that the Chinks invented that will put the U.S.-Iraq War into shame, but is that enough reason to kiss the ass of the Chinese? After all, China did execute more than 3 of our fellow Pinoys after being caught smuggling drugs into their country. The Chinese Government could have easily converted their death sentence to life imprisonment and pardoned them after 5 to 10 years if they really wanted to have close ties with us. But the Chinks wouldn't have any of that.

So do you still think we should ally with the Chinks rather than the Gringos? If we did ally with the Chinks and junked the U.S., what would the Chinks claim next, Palawan? Or the whole Philippines this time if we kiss their Chinese asses? No sir, I'd rather side with the U.S., at least if there are really lots of oil reserves in the Spratlys area, it's the Americans who's going to kiss our brown ass this time around. Because the U.S. needs all the oil it can put its hands on, until they can eventually discover a new kind of fuel to power their Military Hardware. The Philippines is their only ally in Asia who's willing to sell them the oil they want because the Middle Eastern countries and most Muslims hate the U.S. for being the Big Bro of Israel....

A Winner and a Loser.

Filipino Boxer Dodie Boy Penalosa successfully defeated his opponent in a boxing match held in the Philippines a few days ago. This is another great victory for our country but in another bout, a fellow Pinoy boxer was injured and is now in coma. Karlo Maguinto was knocked down twice in his fight, the ring side doctor did not stop the fight as he appeared to be okay. The fight ended in a draw and as the results were being announced, the Pinoy boxer just collapsed in the canvass. He was rushed to a nearby hospital where he is now being treated for brain injury.

This just shows how dangerous boxing is as a sport. We all enjoy watching as two guys slug it out, trying to knock each other senseless, we scream, we yell, we cheer them on. We even bet on who's going to lose, whose going to be knocked out, on what round is the other guy going to hit the canvass, etc. Yup, it's fun, exciting and sometimes hilarious. But we often forget that many boxers have been injured and some have died in this sport. Boxers are ordinary people too; they have their family and people who care about them. Just like us.

Most boxers are from the poorest families. For them it's the only way to make a decent living and maybe if successful, they could end up like Manny Pacquiao. Rich, famous, idolized, respected and maybe someday they'll get elected to public office too. They just want to make things right for their family. Give them decent food, a roof over their heads, new clothes and be able to send their kids to school.

I hope and pray that Karlo Maguinto makes it. I wish he'll survive the toughest "fight" he's in right now. Let us pray for his survival guys, he's only fighting in the ring to support his loved ones. Because nobody in his right mind would want to get himself beaten up if he can find other means to feed his family......let's hope that he gets up again after this long, hard and dangerous "round".

Shabu Again?! Chinese Again?!

Another raid and buy-bust operation by local cops resulted in the seizure of Php100M worth of shabu, crack, meth or whatever you want to call it nowadays. Again 3 Chinese Nationals were caught in the buy-bust operation and as usual, no Financier or Big Fish were arrested. Poor Chinese guys, they do the cooking, processing, delivery, all the hard work, etc.and when the shit hits the fan.....they get arrested without their Big Boss and will face all that crap all by themselves.

Well, at least there's no Death Penalty here in the Philippines unlike in China where you get the Lethal Injection. I guess that's better than an AK-47 bullet at the back of your head, right in front of a hole in the ground (which you probably dug yourself) where the Chinese soldier whose going to execute you will kick your ass afterwards straight to that hole. Then the Chinese Government will charge your family the cost of that .308 bullet that they used to blow your head off. Yup, that's the way they execute criminals back there, at last on their own citizens. Fast, efficient and of course, deplorable and against human rights!

That's why Drug Lords here like hiring/importing Chinese chemists or "shabu cooks" because the pay is cheap, the chinks can't speak the local language thus less locals will know what they're doing here, the Chinese also prefer living and working illegally here (no death penalty) and of course, the Big Boss can always afford to hire other Chinese cooks when they get busted. In other words, these Chinese shabu cooks are always expendable in these illegal operations.

To the cops who conducted the successful buy-bust operation, I salute you! Anytime you get drugs off the streets is good for everybody. Just make sure though that the drugs seized are all accounted for and that it doesn't make it back to the streets after being shown to the media. You know what I'm talking about, it's been done so many times before. Seized drugs in the past oftentimes make it back to the streets and are sold to the users. Yup, instant promotion as well as instant profit for the coppers too!

Often times these Chinese chemists also go free and go back to cooking their evil potions all over again. Probably set free by crooked cops or by the courts after their Big Boss bribes the right people, it's easier to re-hire old employees than import new ones from China. I guess it's the perfect business enterprise, except your destroying all the people who get hooked on shabu. So that makes these Drug Lords the worst of all criminals  around, just like the corrupt Politicians/Government Heads, Military and Police Brass (I bet they're the ones financing these drug labs anyway). They are a lot worse than the worst rapists and pedophiles out there. :(

BPOs: Out of R.P. and back to U.S.?

U.S. President Barack Obama recently told U.S. Companies to stop all Business Processing Outsourcing (BPOs) operations outside their country and instead set up such companies back to the U.S. mainland. Pres. Obama said jobs sourced outside the U.S. should be given back to the Americans, who are also in desperate need of jobs these past few years due to their Economic Depression. "American companies should give jobs to Americans!" that's what he said.

Okay, no problem with that. It's their company so they can do whatever they want. Although thousands of Filipinos will lose their jobs, Pinoys can hack it. Filipinos are one of, if not the the most resilient race in the world, we can survive without these companies. I'm not saying that it's going to be easy, that we don't need those jobs but what are we supposed to do, fall on our knees and beg? Nope, we're thru begging other nations for jobs and handouts, we can survive on our own someway, somehow.

The real question is not whether or not these Call Center Agents who stand to lose their jobs after these U.S. companies move out can survive and find work, because they will survive and will find work elsewhere. These young Pinoys are one of the most talented, versatile and intelligent people in our country. These are college educated  and bright young people, energetic and highly creative kids. They can find work easily here and abroad, no doubt about that.

The question is whether these U.S. companies can afford to pay 3x more than what they pay these Filipino Call Center Agents. Average income of Call Center Agents range from Php20,000-Php25,000 a month, according to news reports. That's about $455.00-$568.00 a month, so it's cheaper for the companies to employ Filipinos than Americans. If they move back to the U.S., they would have to pay American employees three times more because no American will accept a $600 a month salary. No way dude!

So moving back to the U.S. means more labor costs and higher electric bills for these companies, who by the way started operations here in the first place to save more money due to the U.S. Economic Slump. This move to bring it all back to the U.S. could end up as "The last straw that broke the camel's back" which could eventually result in the bankruptcy of these companies. No Company, no money. No money, no employee. Get my drift?

I'm not saying this to discourage these companies from moving out. It's just a logical way of thinking. If you want to save costs on your company who's barely surviving, the last thing you'd do is to spend more on labor, electricity, etc. Anyway, it's Pres. Obama's decision, if it later fails then I guess the Americans won't vote for him come election day. :)

Like Father, Like Daughter!

The Philippine's Supreme Court Chief Justice Renato Corona's daughter buys Php18 million worth of real estate property from her own beloved mother. Nothing wrong with that except.....she declared in her Statement of Asses, I mean Statement of Assets and Liabilities and Net worth (SALN) last year that she only earns Php100,000 a year or less than Php10,0000 a month. Now how can she afford to buy Php18M worth of property with that salary? Maybe she hit the lotto jackpot last Christmas?

Stories or reports like this are not new, hell, this smells like a ton of dead fish floating in Taal Lake all over again! It's really simple, the property belongs to the Chief Justice and to avoid suspicion they make it appear that their beloved daughter bought it for herself and from her own money. Isn't that a smart way to avoid the spying eyes of the public? Yup, that's the way to do it except.....they forgot about the spying eyes of their own kind, you know the corrupt government officials just like them. Same birds do really flock together and in the long run they fight and kill each other.

I wasn't surprised to watch that news on TV, with all that millions or billions that they've pocketed since they got into government service, they can easily buy the best real estate properties they want here and abroad. The only problem now is how to hide all those stolen wealth, they can name those properties to their sons and daughters, cousins, nephews and nieces, aunts and uncles, housemaids and houseboys....even to their dogs and cats! Ask the Marcos Clan, they are the ones who taught the Filipino Politicians how to lie, cheat and steal so they know how to do it best!

So here we are again, witnessing the never satisfied gluttony of our political and government leaders. I bet their favorite song is The Rolling Stones' "I Can't Get No Satisfaction". To my fellow Pinoys here and abroad keep on being honest and God fearing; never imitate these scoundrels and scumbags of society. I assure you, you'll sleep better every night and you won't have to hide your hard earned properties from any spying eyes.

Sen. "Leon Guererro's wife arrested in U.S.

Philippine Sen. Lito "Leon Guererro" Lapid's wife was arrested in Las Vegas, Nevada International Airport for having in her possession $50,000 in cash. She only declared $10,000 to Airport Authorities but it was discovered she had extra $40,000 more with her. My, my, my, she probably thought she's still in Pampanga or in the Philippines for that matter. She probably thought she's also untouchable in the U.S. because all politicians and their families, even their cats and dogs are certainly untouchables here in their own country. Well, guess again my dear Mrs. Senator!

When media men asked Sen. "Leon Guererro" why his wife was carrying so much cash in the U.S., the good old Pinoy cowboy/actor turned senator said that his wife was going to use the money for medical treatment. What the hell is he talking about? He must think all Filipinos are also as dumb and as stupid as he is. Do you pay your doctor abroad in $50,000 cash?  Haven't they discovered the thing called credit card used by the rich people and even by the ordinary people abroad? Haven't Mrs. "Leon Guererro" ever heard or ever used the "Plastic Money" which caused the economies of the U.S. and Europe to crumble like a ton of bricks?

Maybe Sen. "Leon Guererro" and his wife are just yanking our chain, playing dumb again with us Pinoys. You know, like the way how made himself so rich from all those missing lahar quarrying fees in Pampanga and when asked about it he just played dumb until it went away and all was forgotten. I bet his wife brought all that cash so she can shop till she drops, gamble all she wants in Vegas and nobody will ever see any trace or evidence of it back home. But I guess they forgot about the U.S. Customs at the airport who by the way, are not as dumb as Mrs. Lapid.

News reports say she could end up in jail and serve for 5 years if convicted. Sen. Lapid said his asking the help of the Dept. of Foreign Affairs to help clear his wife. When reporters asked the Sen. Cowboy what he can say to the U.S. Government on the violation of their laws, the senator said, "I'm sorry".......Wow, is this guy really that dumb or is he just playing dumb ass again to get off the hook? Let's wait and find out if his "let's play dumb ass" will also work on the U.S. Government. :)

Iggy's gone but Big Mike's still here.

Rep. Iggy Arroyo, younger brother of former First Gentleman Mike Arroyo died of cardiac arrest in his London residence a few days ago. Reports say the Congressman was rushed immediately to a clinic but he was already in a coma and was brain-dead, he was put on a respirator for a while but he later expired when the machine was turned off.

Poor Iggy Arroyo, he was always the fall guy of Big Brother Mike. Remember the Jose Pidal bank accounts containing millions of pesos alleged to belong to the First Gentleman? Well, Iggy said he owned it, he even showed the media and the NBI handwriting experts that the signature of Jose Pidal was really his. He also made the " I invoke my right to privacy" statement very famous at that time. How about the real estate properties owned by the First Family in the U.S.? Again, Iggy Arroyo said he owned them. And the 2 used  choppers sold by Big Bro Mike to the Philippine National Police which were not only over-priced but also 2nd hand yet it was passed on as brand new units and then used by the First Family  for personal use? Yup, Little Bro Iggy said he was the one who sold it to the Police.

Yes folks, Iggy Arroyo was always used by the Arroyo family as an escape goat every time they got into trouble. Whenever there's a controversy or anomaly hurled at the First Gentleman, the First Family or Gloria Arroyo, Iggy always arrives like a knight in shining armor to save them from harm. Some say Iggy's just a pawn of Big Bro Mike, some say he's just the Dumb Little Brother of Big Mike. I really don't know because I haven't met Iggy personally. Maybe he was forced and coerced by his family to own up to all those controversies. Maybe he volunteered to save his family from embarrassment. I'm not sure what the real story is.

I guess the public will never know what Rep. Iggy Arroyo really wanted to do or want to be. May God forgive him for what he had or had not done in his life. May Rep. Iggy Arroyo, finally, Rest in Peace......

Shootout or Rub out?

Four alleged members of the notorious Dominguez Carjacking Group were killed in a shootout in Meycauyan, Bulacan yesterday. They were caught by police in the act of changing the license plates of their stolen vehicle in a dark and uninhabited road, a practice often used by criminals to avoid police detection. Reports said that when the cops tried to arrest them, the criminals started shooting. Which as always, the cops had to return fire to protect themselves.

Same old story, different title, these cops always say that line when they encounter lawless elements and it ends in a shootout. "We were fired upon first so we had no choice but to fire back to protect ourselves". Ok, let's give them the benefit of the doubt, besides, if these were really notorious carjackers who kill their victims, even burning the bodies to make identification more difficult and not just steal vehicles then I guess the whole world is better off without these scumbags. I say, "Good riddance!"

But let's take a closer look at the incident/news reports. I found a couple of loopholes in the cops' story. If I were the carjacker, wouldn't it be wiser to change the license plates in a place which cops can't just happen to pass by? Let's say in a friend's garage or in a cheap motel with a covered garage? To avoid suspicion and other people spying on your evil deeds, wouldn't it be wiser to change license plates in those places than in uninhabited, dark but open roadsides? I don't know but maybe these carjackers are a couple of dumb and dumber guys.....

It smells of a rub out, I bet they were caught (still alive and kicking, maybe even screaming too) and were brought to a secluded place and were shot at point blank range. How about the bullet holes in the police cars and the carjacked vehicle? That's easy, after shooting the carjackers dead the cops can easily shoot both vehicles using their guns and the weapons of the criminals. Instant shootout! Looks a scene from a Hollywood movie? You bet, cops are big fans of action movies because that's where they get their ideas on how to arrange the dead bodies and the crime scene before calling the reporters to the area. Lol

Am I defending the carjackers? Nope, if they are really the notorious criminals who kill and burn their victims to crisp and not just steal the vehicles, I think they are better off dead. Killed in a shootout or "salvaged" (cop term for extra-judicial killings) it doesn't really matter to me, as long as the cops keep the driving/motoring public safe. So my advice to the cops, can you please think of a different story line next time? Your " We were fired upon first so we had no choice but to fire back." statement to the media is really getting boring and over used. And my advice to the carjackers still out there doing their evil deeds? Find a decent job dudes, stop stealing other people's property! Or else, you'll get "Salvaged" by the coppers too. :)

Impeachment Trial just a Smoke Screen?

The Impeachment Trial of chief Justice Renato Corona rolls to a halt due to technicalities. Yup, all that legal mambo-jumbo from the brightest and court-room battle scarred lawyers, it will easily fry your brains out. A word of advice, if you're not a lawyer or a law student, don't you dare listen to these liars, I mean lawyers because you're going to make your brain bleed inside your skull and you'll end up crazy or brain dead. Even these lawyers don't even understand what they're saying, they just keep on yapping because that way, they really sound like intellectuals.

Besides, after all that legal smoke fades away, nothing much really happens. Nobody goes to jail, nobody gives back their stolen condos or bank accounts and nobody becomes poor like Juan Dela Cruz. Yes, in our country the rich and powerful people get more and more richer and powerful every single day. As for trials like these where they exchange legal gobble the gooks, they're just like husband and wife arguing, sooner or later they will hug and kiss each other. They're all pigs sharing the same pigsty so they all act, sound and smell the same. Filthy pigs!

As I've already said before, these vultures are just showing off their intellectual talents to poor Juan Dela Cruz and at the same time stealing 2 Billion pesos worth of funds for "Farm to Market Roads" under our very noses. They never cease to amaze us, these Crocodiles in Government. They have really perfected the "Art of Graft and Corruption". :)

2 Billion Anomalously released to Dept. of Agriculture

The Dept. of Budget and Management released more that 2 Billion pesos worth of funds to the Dept. of Agriculture last December, it was intended for the construction of various Farm to Market Roads all over the country. Great idea right? The farmers all over the Philippines will surely benefit from such infrastructure projects since it will facilitate the delivery of farm produce to the market. It will also minimize the spoilage and damage caused by the long and rough terrain that most farmers have to pass in order to deliver their products to the nearest town.

Fantastic idea really, except.....The whole projects smells fishy right from the very start. Now, before you tag me as some kind of a "Doomsayer", first hear me out. The whole project is anomalous from the very start since the funds were released last December 24, 2011, the day before Christmas and it did not specify where the funds will go, how will it be disbursed, where and what kind of Farm to Market Roads are to be constructed and funded, etc. In other words, any Tom, Dick and Harry in the Dept. of Agriculture can receive, disburse or spend the funds at his own discretion.

That's 2 Billion pesos of tax payer's money ladies and gentlemen, not 2 pesos and it was released just like that, no complete papers or exact plans on how and where it will be spent. Do you still think it doesn't smell fishy? Hell, it smells like a thousand whales beached themselves to die and are rotting at the sands! Somebody or everybody at the Dept. of Agriculture got really filthy rich last Christmas! I bet they got everything on their Christmas list bought and paid for. New SUVs, great holiday vacations abroad, lots of real estate properties locally and internationally, clothes and jewelries and of course bank accounts overflowing with money here and abroad. It's just like Santa Claus came down the chimney of the Dept. of Agriculture and filled their house with Christmas gifts!

So boys and girls, always be good (at stealing) every year, just in case Old St. Nick decides to grant all your Christmas wishes and drop a whooping 2 Billion pesos in your lap next Christmas! :)

Alleged former U.S. Marine creates row in Zamboanga Airport.

An alleged former member of the U.S. Marines went ballistic in Zamboanga Airport after he was asked to pay Php40 airport fee before he can board his plane. The American started berating and cursing airport personnel and even the media covering the story. Airport personnel said that the American refused to pay the Php40 airport fee and thus he was not allowed to board his plane and that caused the man to shout and act wildly at the airport, yelling and claiming that he was a U.S. Marine. Two U.S. Marines who were also at the airport tried to calm him down but he continued to create a scene.

Wow! That entire ruckus just because he doesn't want to or he can't pay Php40? That's less than $1! I mean, if he's really broke all he had to do was ask for help from his American buddies or even Filipinos in the airport and they'll gladly pay the airport fee for him. Filipinos are not rich but I'm sure almost everyone can afford Php40. They'll probably buy him a free lunch and a cold glass of beer if he wants to. Filipinos are well known for our great hospitality so tourists are very much welcome here.

I guess this American is really screwed up, all that fuss for less than a buck? Anyway, the U.S. Embassy said he was not a member of the U.S. Marines as he claimed at the airport although embarrassingly, he is a U.S. citizen. So to all tourists and for those who want to visit the Philippines, don't worry if you run out of money here, all you have to do is ask for help. I'm sure most Filipinos will be kind enough and more thatn willing to lend a helping hand. It's inherent in our "ugali" or character to help visitors in any way we can.

So don't hesitate to visit our country, everybody is welcome to the Philippines. :)

Honest Filipino Taxi driver returns lost bags.

An honest Filipino taxi driver returned lost bags and other expensive personal belongings left by two female Italian tourist in his cab. The driver went to a local AM Radio station in Manila to ask for their help in finding the owners of the said left items. The two Italian tourists were later contacted by the AM station and were given back their lost property.

It just proves that there are a lot of Filipinos who are still honest and trustworthy in our country. No matter how corrupt and useless our government officials are, at least we still have a lot of good and decent citizens out there. This story is not the first of its kind, it's been happening so many times all over the country, an honest Filipino returning lost money or belongings to the rightful owner, without asking anything in return, no rewards or favor.

Now, doesn't that make you feel warm and fuzzy deep inside? Well, I do feel good after hearing or watching these good stories about the honesty, integrity and trustworthiness of my fellow Filipinos. It has always been one of our good traits as a people, honesty and trustworthiness.

I hope this taxi driver gets all the rewards he deserves and I wish all Filipinos look up to him and imitate his good deeds. Honest men are hard to come by these days, with all these economic and financial difficulties all over the world. So that act makes this taxi driver a hero to me.

Mabuhay ka Kabayan! May your tribe increase. God Bless you!

OFWs returning from Syria get no RP aid.

Yup, here we go again. Our OFWs (Overseas Filipino Workers) from war torn Syria who just arrived from the country will get no benefits or aid from the Philippine Government. Our Bagong Bayani (New Heroes) just got screwed again, not only in Syria but more painfully by their own government. Now, that's what you get for helping in keeping the economy alive and well with your hard earned monthly remittances, you get screwed!

Well, the OFWs weren't surprised at all since it's been the same old story for the past 30 years. No decent Filipino expects any good things from the government, that's why they'd rather work abroad even if it's hazardous out there rather than die of hunger and frustration here.

For many years OFWs have been called the Bagong Bayani or New Heroes by the government but in truth, the right term should be Bagong Gatasan/Kotongan or New Milking Cows because OFWs are charged with so many fees before they are allowed to board their plane to work abroad. They are required to pay Insurance fees, OWWA (Overseas Workers Welfare Administration) fees, PhilHealth fees, Pag-IBIG fees, etc. Yup, so many fees to pay and when you need financial assistance when war breaks out, well, you get zero. Now, where did all that fees go? To the deep pockets of the people in charge of those various government agencies I suppose. :)

So the OFWs now are the new milking cows of the government, they are viewed as a new source or victims of graft and corruption and they just get screwed 100 times over by the government. Now, any more volunteers for the Bagong Gatasan/Kotongan, ooopps, I mean the Bagong Bayani out there? Well, please fall in line here......

To all my honest Kababayans out there, never lose hope. God will watch over you. God Bless all the honest and hard-working Filipino all over the world! God will keep you safe from harm!

Good Old Frankie D.

Good old Sen. Franklin Drilon, a veteran senator (they're all veterans because they never want to give up their posts :)) and as always, a brilliant politician. Yup, he's always on the limelight, never misses the chance to shine. Politicians, they all crave the media attention, heck, they are more media hungry than the actors and actresses in Hollywood!

I remenber quite clearly during the last impeachment trial of Former Pres. Joseph "Erap" Estrada, Sen. Frankie was also a senator at that time ( no mystery to that, a certified Trapo or Traditional Politician never let's go of his post, "Kapit-Tuko" or "Grips like a Gecko") and he was anti-Erap then. He was openly crying his eyes out when the trial failed to open the envelop which allegedly contained vital pieces of evidence to the truth about who really is Jose Velarde ( crap, every tubero, carpentero, sorbetero, latero, juetengero, sabungero, etc. knew it was Erap's alias), you know, the mystery name which holds millions or billions of pesos worth of bank accounts.

Yes, he was crying like a baby along with then Sen. Pepe Pimentel and Sen. Loren legarda, who were all anti-Erap then. Least you guys forget, they were all with Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo who was the Vice-President in those days. They called themselves the "Opposition".

So after showing on national TV that he could bawl like a bear, the Filipino people started amassing in EDSA and started the EDSA 2 Revolution which later kicked out Erap and his family from Malacanang. Gloria Arroyo was installed as President although the people wanted the Supreme Court Chief Justice Hilario Davide at that moment to become President of the Republic of the Philippines because nobody trusted Tita Glo that she won't lie, cheat and steal too. But alas, it wasn't meant to be, Gloria Arroyo became President ( amidst the cat calls and boos of the people in EDSA ) and it was, as expected, hell all over again for the Filipino people and heaven on Earth for the Arroyos and their cohorts.

As they often say, if you're really lucky, you'll get everything you want in a silver platter and if you're out of luck, then you're in deep shit. Yes sir, the Filipinos were in deep shit all over again with Gloria Arroyo in Malacanang. They say if you break a mirror, its 7 yars bad luck, I wonder how many mirrors did the Filipinos break? We've been having bad luck with our Presidents since Ferdinand Marcos became our leader and that was in the late 1960's!

After Gloria's success in EDSA 2, Sen. Frankie was so happy with the company of Tita Glo that when people started criticizing her administration, Frankie said to her that she could move Malacanang to his home province in Iloilo. Frankie said that in public and in front of the media, so there video footages of that event. To me, Frankie looked like a puppy who just got a cookie from his master and he was happily wagging his tail. ( "Tuta ni Tita Glo" sounds nice eh? ) My, my, the things people say and do just to kiss some powerful person's ass.

A few years later of Gloria's rule in Malacanang ( as always ), the people who used to worship her began to turn their backs on her and eventually bit her in the ass. Frankie, Pepe and Loren who were one of the many politicians who helped kick  Erap out of power were now in alliance with him again. Their main objective now was to oust Gloria, they called themselves, as usual, "The United opposition". So it just proves that in politics, there are no permanent enemies, no permanent friends and no permanent alliances.

In politics, the only permanent people are the....TRAITORS, TURNCOATS or the BALIMBINGS! Because they are always in the best position no matter who's in Malacanang. So I really love good old Frankie and the politicians just like him, they never cease to amaze me. I wonder whose ass he's going to kiss now and then bite later on. :) Do you wanna guess?

Bourne Legacy Film-Shoot and other Foreign Acts in R.P.

These past few months, foreign singers, actors, basketball players, etc. from the U.S. and some from Europe have been frequenting the Philippines for one night shows, game exhibitions, film shoots and a lot more. I think that's great, locals can now get to see their favorite foriegn actors, singers and athletes in the flesh.

Times have really changed, in the past most foreigners shun away from our country, when they have their "Asian Tours" it always means they're going to Japan, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore and South Korea, almost never in the Philippines. Is it because the Philippines happens to be the poorest among the nations mentioned? Or is it because most Filipinos can't afford to buy their concert tickets anyway so why bother going here at all? Or is it because an American actress who filmed a scene in the country many years ago said that the whole country was a ghetto?

I think they're including our country now in their Asian Tour because of the U.S. Depression and the European Recession, they can no longer afford to be choosy. Anyway, they're all welcome here to visit, perform or even stay for a while. Filipinos are world famous for our great hospitality and we are not known to hold any grudges against anyone.

So to all foreign artists, actors, athletes, etc. Mabuhay! Welcome to the Philippine Islands! :)

Filipina Verbally Abused by a U.S. Embassy Official

A Filipina was verbally abused and berated by a U.S Embassy Official here in Manila. The incident stemmed when the Filipina crossed a road and was nearly run over by the official who was on his way to a hotel or restaurant for lunch or dinner. Maybe the guy was really hungry or needed to use the restroom really quick. Instead of just letting the matter go or simply asking the woman if she was okay, the A-hole official cursed and shouted at the poor woman.

Nope, he doesn't have to apologize if he doesn't want to, all he had to do was ask if she was okay. But this A-hole felt like practicing his A-hole attitude so who's the best person to show off his ugly character? Who else but a poor Filipina, who just made the mistake of crossing the same path when this "King of the Road A-Hole" happened to pass by. Maybe this U.S. Embassy Official thinks his country is still the richest nation in the whole damn world and that he could do anything he wants and not get caught or punished. Maybe this dumb guy isn't affected by the U.S. Depression back in his country so he acts as if his God. Maybe he can easily find any job that he wants and doesn't have to fall in line at the Unemployment Office.

So to the poor Filipina who got abused by this guy, next time you cross the street, make sure it's really, really safe because the next guy who happens to drive by might run you over just for fun. As for the U.S Embassy A-Hole, you should try berating your own people and I bet folks there will give you what you deserve. Or you should try verbally abusing jobless Americans back in your hometown, I'm sure they'll be happy to use you as target practice, you know, they got lots of guns and ammo but nothing else much to do...because they have no jobs....:)

1 Billion Pesos worth of Shabu chemicals seized.

1 Billion pesos worth of chemicals used in making shabu or meth were found and seized by cops in 3 separate raids conducted in Quezon City a few days ago. Wow, a billion pesos worth of raw materials for making shabu or otherwise known as "the poor man's cocaine", "rock or bato", etc. How much do you think would that fetch in the market once it was completely "cooked" into meth? I don't think I can count that high, so I won't even try....

Again, Chinese nationals were caught in these raids doing the 'cooking' of the shabu but no financier or big fish were ever apprehended, I wonder why....:) The cops were quick to point out that rich Filipino-Chinese businessmen are the ones financing these meth labs, even hiring Chinese chemists from China to make them here. The cops maybe right but it could also be the illegitimate business of Politicians, Military and Police officials because any legitimate businessman wouldn't dare mess around with meth labs. So my bet goes to the Politicians, Military and Police hierarchy that's funding and protecting these labs. Just ask yourself, if you're one of the "Big Boss" of the land, who's going to dare mess with you and arrest you, right? Besides, who can easily afford 1 billion pesos as capital investment in any business venture? Who else but the super-rich and the super-thieves!

So to the ordinary folks out there, you better teach your kids well and watch after them really good. Drugs are everywhere and its always the young ones that get hooked and victimized. It's the next cottage industry of the future, these meth labs.....so you better watch out!

Filipino Mountaineer Romi Garduci summits Vinsons Massif.

Local Hero Romi Garduci makes another record for himself and for the Filipino people. He recently reached the summit of the highest peak in Antarctica, the Vinsons Massif. About 4,897mtrs. or 16,066ft. Not as high as the tallest peak on Earth, Mt. Everest which Romi also successfully climbed a few years back, but hey, this dude can really climb mountains!

Garduci said his trying to climb the 7 highest peaks on Earth, for himself and for the country so all Filipinos should support and pray for his safety and success. This guy is one of the best examples of how Filipinos can excel in all sports and endeavors, certainly at par with the best athletes of the world. Yup, despite all the negative news about the Philippines here and abroad, with guys like Garduci and the Filipino crew of that Italian cruise ship, they make me proud to be a Filipino!

If you ask me, I'd say it's better to watch his quest to climb the highest peaks than waste your time watching those clowns at the impeachment trial on TV. This guy is not a crook and all he wants to do is climb mountains to make all Filipinos proud. He won't steal tax payer's money so to me, he's already a hero! :)

So Romi, good luck bro! Mabuhay ka, Kabayan! Be safe and always remember....To God be the Glory!

NBI Chief Gatdula sacked and charged.

Yup, it's another story for the record books. National Bureau of Investigation (Philippine version of the FBI :)) Chief Magtanggol Gatdula is sacked by Pres. Noynoy Aquino and is charged with Kidnapping and Extortion. The NBI Chief allegedly tried to kidnap and extort money from a Japanese woman, according to news reports. Now, doesn't that raise an eyebrow? Or both eyebrows, maybe? Lol

I mean, just this week the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court was charged for Graft and Corruption after having more than 40 prime real estate properties. Then this, the NBI Chief a kidnapper? Now, where should poor Juan Dela Cruz go to if he needs help nowadays? He certainly can't go to the Supreme Court to ask help and expect to get a fair remedy for his legal woes. He certainly can't go running to the arms of the Police to ask for assistance since most cops are corrupt too. So his only chance now is to go crawling to the NBI to find true justice, right? Oooops, no can do either!

So what should Juan Dela Cruz do now in case he needs help? I really don't know guys, I really don't know.......:(

Filipino Crew of a Damaged Italian Cruise Ship led passengers to safety

More than 100 Filipino crew of an ill-fated Italian cruise ship off the sea of Italy valiantly and heroically helped passengers to safely board life rafts and avoid the dangers of the rough and freezing sea. These Filipino Overseas Contract Workers, more popularly know called OFWs are some of the simple, honest, hardworking and God-fearing people who risk their lives every single day to work and serve various companies all over the world so they can earn money to support their families back home.

Often called by the Philippine Government Officials as the "New Heroes or Bagong Bayani" as they provide billions of pesos worth of remittances to the country. Economic experts agree that it's the OFW remittances which kept our country's economy afloat during the recent and still ongoing Global Recession. Yup, these simple folks kept our country from going under better than the think-tanks in government, they deserve more that just being called heroes.

Yet, on the bitter side of the story, these so called heroes often face abuses not only abroad but also locally. Local recruitment agencies charge them with excessive fees, they suffer long lines at the POEA and DFA which issue and process their documents and worse,  they often get victimized by illegal recruiters. Horror stories of being raped, sodomized, tortured as well as non payment of salaries abroad are common. These people are not rich, most of them are from the poorest of the poor who had to leave their family and loved ones behind, sell or pawn what little property they have just to find that job abroad to support their families.

So my heart goes out to my fellow Filipinos working overseas, I will pray that someday, someway, somehow, no Filipino should ever be forced to leave his family back home just so he can find work abroad to support them. To the Filipino crew of Costa Concordia.....Mabuhay! May God Bless all the honest and hard working Filipinos all over the world!

Oh no! Its Johnny!

The Philippine Senate. On the Impeachment Trial of the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of the Philippines. The Senate President telling fellow Senators-Judges, the Congressman-Prosecutors and the Defendant and his Defense-Lawyers what rules must be followed and observed during the entire proceedings. Mr. Senate President, a man of many experiences, veteran politician and of course a brilliant lawyer if I am not mistaken....Yes Sir, he knows what's he's talking about so you better shut-up, listen-up and take heed.
Mr. Senate President have been in politics way, way back. During the time of then the late President Marcos when Uncle Johnny was the Civil Defense Chief, if my memory serves me right. He was Mr. Marcos' right hand way back then. They both fought the communists who were slowly trying to  establish their own power in the country.

Nothing wrong with that right? It makes them heroes right? Nope, don't think so.... Because you see, Uncle Johnny planned, faked and executed his own ambush in the early 1970's and blamed it on the communists parties/members in the Philippines. Which paved the way for then "Strongman" Marcos to easily, lawfully, reasonably and legally impose the "Martial Law". Which gave the Military and the Police all the power to legally arrest anybody out there in the streets and in their homes without any warrants or anything. Yup, the Military and the Police had a field day arresting, jailing, torturing and killing suspected communist members way back then.

Then after being close buddies for more than 20 long years, Uncle Johnny decided to spear head a revolution against old man Marcos in 1986, which resulted the peaceful, bloodless overthrow of a dictator. Then Uncle Johnny's a hero right? Well, sort of....except he didn't become President after the EDSA 1 Revolution, which I think was the main purpose of it all, Cory Aquino did. Which I think kinda pissed Uncle Johnny off so 10 more failed coups happened during the Cory Administration. Led of course by Mr. Gringo, who's also a senator now.
And what about the alleged illegal logging activities in the past in Cagayan, which denuded the forests there? The alleged smuggling activities in the free-port in that area which reportedly owned by Uncle Johnny? The centralized, computerized, nation-wide Jai-Alai which was rumored to be his?

I have no proofs about all these things but.....as they say, "When there's smoke, there's fire"...so its up to you to believe it or not. :)

An Ex-Congressman arrives home from Hong Kong jail

An ex-Congressman from the Philippines arrives home after serving his jail term from a Hong Kong jail. His crime was drug possession. Yes, sir. He was caught at the Hong Kong airport with lots cocaine in his pocket. He said it was for his personal use and not for selling or trafficking. Well, that saved him from a longer jail term or worse, from the death penalty.
So now we have drug addicts as Representatives too. Why not? Since we already have  a bunch of liars, cheaters and thieves as our political leaders, what's wrong with drug addicts, mass murderers and the like to add to the list? I bet you can't beat that one.
They are also super rich, his family fetched him from jail in with their own private jet. Now, how much does a private jet cost these days and how much does a Congressman get as salary? Stupid me, I forgot. They get more than 200 millions pesos a year as pork barrel so they can easily afford to buy any plane they want. Heck, they can buy an aircraft carrier along with all planes in it as well as the whole crew to run the darn ship!
If you're a Politician, a top Military or Police brass, or even a plain government personnel, you will get rich in our country. Yes sir, you don't have to buy lotto tickets to get rich here, all you have to do is to get yourself elected in public office or by bribing a lot of people to get yourself a job in government and you're on your way to living the lifestyle of the rich and famous!
As for the honest Filipinos out there who still believe that honesty is the best policy? Well, you'll never buy that private jet, bro. But at least your kids won't end up as thieves and scumbags when they grow up. :)

U.S. Marines urinating on Taliban dead bodies.

The whole world expressed their disgust and dislike on the acts committed by 4 U.S. Marines who were caught on video urinating on dead Talibans. It caused quite an uproar among Muslim/Islamic countries, its citizens and leaders, U.S. Political and Military Officials and private citizens, all over the world.
They called it senseless, deplorable, stupid and utter disrespect for the dead and the religious beliefs of the Islamic faith. I agree, pissing on the dead bodies of the enemy is not an honorable act for anybody, U.S. Marines or whatever group they may belong., I concur that they should be punished for what they did, there is no question or debate about that one.
But the question that keeps on bugging my mind is....what about the atrocities committed by the terrorists? They blow up buildings and airplanes killing hundreds or thousands of innocent people, bombing Islamic places of worship to kill fellow Muslims of different sect. Beheading Americans or foreign persons abducted in the Middle East and showing the murder in the internet......are these acts being condemned by the Muslim world? Are these people being punished or even at least, reprimanded by their political, military or religious leaders? Or are they being treated as heroes and martyrs for doing such things?
The moral lesson here is....."Do not do unto others what you do not want them to do unto you". But if you don't buy that and you only feel the pain and disgust when you're the one being injured but you don't give a crap when you're the one committing the abuse, then I guess don't expect your enemy to respect your rights as a human being. Besides, "War is Hell"....and in hell I don't think they have any rules to follow.
So toughen up boys, it's just piss....at least they didn't chop your head off so won't be able to get even when you reincarnate as what you often do your victims and enemies.....

Vultures vs. Vultures

On Monday, Jan. 16, 2012. An impeachment trial is again being televised, this time no less than the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of the Philippines is under siege. Accused of amassing great wealth such as multiple condo units and other real estate properties and failing to declare them in his Statements of Assets and Liabilities. The Congressmen would serve as the Prosecutors, the Senators will perform as Judges.... I couldn't help but smile.... Vultures vs. Vulture, Crocodiles vs. Crocodile, Pirates vs. Pirate, Thieves vs. Thief. Is there such a thing as Honor among Thieves? Is there such a thing as Honesty among Pirates? I doubt it. It is just another ploy to fool Juan Dela Cruz...These "tricksters, jesters, jugglers, acrobats, fortune tellers, actors and mimes" are once again playing their dirty tricks on ordinary folks.   So don't fall for their old dirty tricks, besides, no rich and powerful man   ever went to jail for his crimes...well, jail for the rich means hospital arrest or house arrest or resort/rest house arrest where they can have the best food, wine, services and best buddies and partners in crime as visitors. Unlike ordinary Juan Dela Cruz who steals a few thousand pesos and he rots in jail. Besides, Top Gun Pnoy just want to kick Corona out of the Supreme Court so he can place his own dog to reverse and junk the previous order of the SC to give the Hacienda  to the farmers. :)
