7 Customs Personnel Under Investigation.

Seven Bureau of Customs personnel are being investigated due to their involvement in the mysterious case of 2,000 missing container vans during the last Administration. Customs Commissioner Ruffy Biazon said more than Php200 million was lost due to unpaid taxes with the case of these missing container vans. He vowed to go after the Customs personnel who facilitated and aided in their mysterious disappearance.

The objects being mentioned here are huge 20-footer and 40-footer steel container vans that you ordinarily see at the pier stacked up on top of each other. These are enormous and heavy objects and to make 2,000 of these vessels disappear is quite a feat that not even the greatest magicians can easily pull off. But they can easily do that at the Bureau of Customs. Yes Sirs, we got the best magicians on that part of the Government.

In my beloved country, the Philippines anything is possible if it involves the Politicians and Government Officials. Thousands of huge container vans can suddenly vanish into thin air without a trace. Millions and billions of tax payer's money can be transferred to secret bank accounts of Politicians and Government Leaders effortlessly and without any difficulty. It's not easy finding and recovering ill-gotten wealth, just ask the Marcoses; they are still wallowing in billions or trillions of stolen money hidden in their Swiss Bank accounts!

In this part of the world, honest people work their butts off 24/7 and still they are in financial difficulty. Although if you're in Government Service, money comes by so easily that you can afford own a Porsche, a Grand Mansion, a private jet and lots and lots of prime real estate properties here and abroad. Just ask the Chief Thief Renato Corona of the Supreme Court  of the Philippines, he's the living proof and example of how easy it is to make money if you are in the Government Service.

They say the Philippines is a 3rd World Nation, I beg to disagree. We are a very rich, prosperous and opulent nation. The only problem is this; it's the POLITICIANS and the GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS that are solely enjoying the country's wealth. The painful part of it is that wealth is from the blood, sweat and tears of the poor Juan Dela Cruzes like you and me, it's from our taxes. What a bunch of scumbags these leaders that we have!

Another Honest Taxi Driver.

Another honest Filipino taxi driver went to a local radio station to return lost baggage from 3 foreign tourists which rode in his cab going to the airport. The items left consisted of a laptop, digital camera, iPods and some clothes and pictures. The radio station said it will help the cab driver find the rightful owners although it turned out that the foreign tourists have already left the country as reported by the airport personnel.

It's really nice to hear about these simple stories of honesty from ordinary Filipino folks. When almost every day you read, hear and watch news that talk about the dishonesty, deceitfulness, corruption and duplicity of our Government leaders, Policemen and other criminally minded people; stories of uprightness and goodness keeps us from totally losing hope for our nation.

Most Filipinos are fed up with our CORRUPT POLITICIANS, CROOKED COPS AND USELESS GOVERNMENT PERSONNEL that we have already given up of ever seeing our country flourishing and thriving like it used to many decades ago. A lot of our population have opted to work and live abroad because of the economic hardships and unethical practices of our leaders. Only stories of simple folks displaying such morality and reliability is keeping our hopes alive, like a flickering candle light inside a deep, dark and gloomy dungeon. Maybe there is still a glimmer of hope for our nation....let's pray for God's help because we really need it now.

Manny Pacquiao Harassed by the BIR?

Boxing Champ, showbiz personality, Military Reserve Colonel, Catholic Church Bible Promoter and Congressman Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao is complaining about being harassed by the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) for alleged unpaid taxes. He recently held a press briefing about the pressure being exerted on him by the BIR and asked Pres. Noynoy Aquino to fire the BIR Region 12  Official who is allegedly harassing him.

Everybody knows that Pacman is a great boxer; he can knock out almost any boxing opponent in a few seconds or in a few rounds. Nobody can beat Pacman when it comes to boxing and that's why it's now boring to watch his fights because you can always tell that his going to win again and again. Yes, it's no longer thrilling to watch Manny Pacquiao's boxing matches; even his opponents are being recycled again and again. I never thought that the term : Reuse, Reduce and Recycle would also apply on boxing matches.

The problem with Manny Pacquiao is he ventured into politics and he did not just stick to his boxing career and in his private businesses. He shouldn't have wallowed himself into the dirty, greedy, ugly and evil world of Politics. Manny shouldn't have openly, explicitly and blatantly kissed the asses of the Politicians that were allied with the past Administration. Manny should have kept himself busy with his career and his own private businesses and avoided mixing up with these scumbag politicians. He is already a very successful and a very rich man but then what he lacked was the respect and veneration of the whole world, that's why he signed up to be a Politician.

It's really funny that Manny is now asking the President to intervene in his behalf about the harassment from the BIR. Poor Manny, he might be the grates boxer of all time but he's really a dumb ass when it comes to politics. You better wake up and learn fast Mr. Congressman, Colonel, showman and Church advocate! IT'S THE PRESIDENT WHO'S ORDERING THE BIR TO HARASS YOUR ASS DUDE! BECAUSE YOU'RE IDENTIFIED AS A FORMER LAP-DOG OF GLORIA MACAPAGAL-ARROYO AND REST OF HER COHORTS!

So shut the hell up about asking the Aquino Administration for help because you won't get any. You're looking more and more like a stupid comedian than a respectable lawmaker everytime you do that. You'll probably get more problems from the Aquino Government sooner or later. Better pay up and settle your BIR dues and keep a low profile or else you'll get your ass kicked by Top Gun Noynoy Aquino who's in power now. Remember, you're not in the ring and you're just a "greenhorn" in politics so they can kick your ass before the ring announcer can say "Let's get ready to rumble!!!"

Boracay Island near Destruction?

A recent news item reported that the famous Boracay Island is near the brink of destruction due to over development by a lot of greedy resort owners. Once again, Mother nature is being raped and exploited by over commercialization and materialism of the human race. Yup, the once pristine and unspoiled paradise island may end up as a huge sewage island if authorities don't act fast enough. The problem is this, the usual standard operating procedure of our Government is, "Act when it's already too late".

The over commercialization is slowly destroying the whole island and its surrounding marine environment. Improperly built sewage system is causing pollution and the utter disregard in preserving the natural environment is damaging  the island. Boracay is simply being over improved to its limits that it's beginning to to result in its devastation. The Government has formed a Multi-Agency Task Force to strictly implement existing laws to prevent its obliteration but I have doubts if it's going to save the island in time.

In the Philippines money makes every wrongdoing become right and justified. No matter what Multi-Agency Task Force crap they form, chances are thy won't be able to stop or prevent the big resorts from destroying the area. If the Government had implemented the already existing laws in the first place, these problems would have never happened. I guess numerous Government personnel got bribed by the rich resort owners so every rule and regulations got flushed down the toilet.

If the Government doesn't do anything now to resolve these environmental issues then we can kiss Boracay Island goodbye very soon. Future generations can only enjoy Boracay by watching old pictures and videos from the past. Mother Nature can take a lot of abuse and punishment but she can only soak up so much. We have to do something decisive right now to save Boracay from sure obliteration....

Oil Hikes May Trigger Another People Power?

Various Transport and Activist Groups have warned Malacanang about the imminent danger of another People Power if Pres. Noynoy Aquino doesn't do anything about the continuing high cost of fuel. To us Filipinos, People Power means the bloodless 1986 EDSA Revolution that toppled and ousted the former dictator, the worst human rights violator, the greatest thief of all time and the Founding Father of Graft and Corruption, the late Ex-Pres. Ferdinand E. Marcos Sr.

Let me make it clear, I'm talking about about the first, the earliest and the original EDSA 1 People Power Revolution. Why the clarification? Because a lot of so called EDSA People Power 2, 3, 4, hell, I can't count that high, eventually tried to imitate the 1st EDSA Revolution. Well, at least the 2nd EDSA People Power which kicked out Pres. Joseph "Erap" Estrada, the "Father of all Jueteng Lords" according to his former mahjong buddy Gov. Chavit Singson is as authentic and as genuine as the 1st EDSA People Power.

Then after that 2nd People Power, the family and supporters of Pres. Erap tried to recoup his place in Malacanang and attempted to kick Pres. Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo's ass out of the Palace. This eventually failed  but gave birth to multiple failed coup attempts led by a Navy Junior Officer named Trillianes and his gang. Trillianes got so famous after two failed coup attempts that he's a Senator now. Yeah, I voted for Sen. Trillianes back then because I thought he can change things in our country but he turned out to be another useless politician just like the rest of them. He's getting fat using up his pork barrel and enjoying all the perks of being a Senator after he got out of jail while the rest of the Juan dela Cruzes like me are still in poverty.

So another threat of People Power is no longer surprising to me.It's beginning to look like a series of horror films that keeps on making a lot of sequels that people just stopped counting and eventually got tired of watching. It's like a Manny Pacquiao fight where he always wins no matter what the odds are. It's getting boring, dumb and tiresome if you ask me. Like a rerun of an old TV show that you already know what the next scene will be before it's even shown.

People Power because the price of oil is too high? Why the hell not! Let's see, how about People Power to lower text and call rates on cell phones? People Power for free internet? People Power for free food? For free clothes? Let's do a People Power for everything that we can think of! Yeah! That's going to make our country really famous and prosperous. Let's also rename our country as People Power Republic to make everything nice and lovely. Hahaha!

Hacienda Luisita Farmers vs. RCBC Workers and Guards.

Tension was high at the Hacienda Luisita when about 300 farmers prevented 100 RCBC Bank workers and security guards from putting up barbed wire fences around the 500 hectares of land bought by the bank from the clan of President Noynoy Aquino. The farmers armed with bolos (machete), sickles and other bladed farm tools were threatening the RCBC guards who were armed with shotguns. The RCBC guards were instructed by the bank to build the fence to keep the farmers from entering and tilling the land.

The local police force of Tarlac had a hard time trying to pacify both sides. It was a touch and go situation where a bloody and deadly clash can instantly happen. It was a scary scenario with all that sharp and deadly farm tools and loaded shotguns in the hands of angry and enraged individuals. The farmers were claiming the land as part of the Hacienda Luisita which the Supreme Court had earlier ordered to be distributed to them.

If Pres. Aquino is really serious and truthful in his promise to help the poor Filipino people then he should act now and obey the Supreme Court ruling that the Hacienda Luisita be distributed to the farmers. The Supreme Court ruling should not be affected by the on-going Impeachment Trial of the Chief Justice since it was not the accused magistrate that solely ordered it. The Aquino-Cojuangco clan will be justly compensated by the Government for their land according to its proper value so they'll end up richer more than before. The Aquino-Cojuangco clan should stop selling or converting the vast farm land into subdivisions, malls, golf courses, industrial zones, etc. to deprive the farmers of what is duly awarded to them.

The President's statement that he no longer owns any part of the Hacienda Luisita is pure bullshit if you ask me. Every Tom, Dick and Harry knows that he still owns parts of that massive property. Even if its true that he no longer owns any part of it then he must implement the rule of law as President and not as a member of the Aquino-Cojuangco Clan. The longer the President delays the distribution of the Hacienda Luisita to the farmers; more and more Filipinos are going to doubt and question his sincerity to the people of the Philippines. Not all Filipinos are dumb sir, so Mr. President, will you please stop jerking us around?

Filipinas victimized by White Slavers in Sabah, Malaysia.

A special news report of a local network here in the Philippines revealed that hundreds of Filipino women are being recruited by unscrupulous persons to work as domestic helpers or waitresses in Sabah, Malaysia. The women were duped to work in decent jobs but once they arrive in Malaysia they are sold and locked up in brothels where they are forced to have sex with more than 10 different men everyday without any form of protection from sexually transmitted deseases.

A lot of these women are enticed to work in Sabah which is very near Mindanao, the Southern most part of the Philippines by illegal recruiters who promise them high paying jobs abroad. Authorities here said they have a hard time stopping the illegal trade of human trafficking in the area because of many small motorized boats that "smuggle" the women to Sabah through the sea. Most of these poor women travel without any documents and are therefore helpless when they end up abused and maltreated abroad.

It's really difficult to believe that white slavery still exist in such countries but it does happen a lot. Women are forced into prostitution and they cannot do anything about it once they have fallen into the hands of these white slavers in Sabah. These women are exposed to different sexually transmittable diseases like HIV/AIDS. Some of these brothels are being owned and managed by Filipinos and that's what bothers me most. Filipinos exploiting and manipulating their own kind, that's really disgusting.

Our Government should do everything to stop these white slavers and human traffickers at all cost. We can't accept their reason that it's impossible to prevent such abuses on our women because of the easy way of smuggling them to Sabah, Malaysia. If that is the case then our Government should coordinate with the  Malaysian Authorities to form a task force consisting of Police Forces from both countries to rescue these hapless women and to arrest and jail their traffickers. Something must be done right now, the only way to stop these human traffickers is to act fast and decisively.
