CHED to Issue Strict Guidelines on Educational Fieldtrips.

Due to the accidents that have happened during school field trips  the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) will issue strict rules and guidelines to prevent more accidents and deaths from occurring in the future. A few weeks ago, a bus which carried students to a military camp for their field trip; accidentally rolled (unmanned) over 2 students who were taking their pictures. Both victims died from their injuries.

Barely two weeks later, another educational tour bus from Marinduque on its way down from Baguio City; rammed a trailer truck while negotiating the zigzag road. 8 people died from that accident. It was reported that the bus had already shown signs of mechanical defects yet the driver opted to continue their homeward journey to keep their schedule. This stupid driver killed 8 innocent people because of his recklessness and stupidity....

The Philippine Government, thru CHED is now going to make new rules to help keep educational expeditions safer for our children. Hallelujah!! Sounds great, right? You betcha! But will making new rules about field-trips make them safer? Absolutely not! Why? Because our Government can never fully and strictly implement these laws!

This nation and its politicians are the best lawmakers in the world but it all stops at that point. When it comes to the implementation of rules and laws, we are the worst in the Universe! Our Government's policy is to wait for a disaster then make laws, instead of implementing already existing laws to prevent disasters...Believe me, we already have the necessary laws; it's in the enforcement that we really suck!

So what's the best way to make these transport operators/companies maintain their vehicles in tiptop shape, hire responsible drivers and try to prevent accidents? Make them pay huge amounts of compensation and damage fees to their victims!!! Charge them at least Php5Million for each individual that they cause injury or death (passengers or third parties) and they will maintain their machines in tiptop shape to avoid stiff penalties. These companies will also hire the best drivers and not just some drug addicts to avoid  such penalties.

Make their bank accounts bleed and these pricks (company, operators, drivers) will heed. Make their pockets hemorrhage after an accident and these companies and drivers will behave!!!
