Another outdated and passe actor is gunning for a seat in Congress, this time it's Aga Muhlach of the "Bagets" movie fame 25 years ago. Aga bought or built a house in Camarines Sur to qualify for his bid to represent that province in Congress next Elections and this practice is quite common to aspiring politicians ever since the beginning of time.
This is what Manny Pacquiao did when he couldn't defeat his political rivals in General Santos City so he built a house in his wife's home province of Sarangani and ran for Congressman which he later won. Ousted President Joseph "Erap" Estrada also bought a house in Manila a few months ago so that he can run as Manila Mayor next elections. So it's really easy for these guys to buy a home anywhere in the country and then register as a local voter to qualify themselves to any political position that they may aspire. I guess if you have the money then you can do anything you want in this world....
But it seems that Aga Muhlach just got disqualified as a registered voter in Camarines Sur, thanks to his political opponents there who petitioned the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) to reject Aga's name in the voters list. In short, if Aga boy doesn't succeed in reinstating his name in the local voters list then he can kiss his dreams of becoming a Congressman and ending up rich from Congressional pork barrel.
It's not really about public service that everybody wants to be a public servant, it's all about the money. Lots and lots of money that is up for grabs if they end up victorious! Whether they can perform their duties well after they win, live up to the expectations of the voters and to help improve the lives of the poor Filipinos is the least of their concern. It's all about the wealth, power and prestige of becoming a leader of the land. These political assholes don't care if they will end up as dumb, lazy, corrupt and lying sons of bitches in Government just like the thousands of Politicians now. They are just after our taxes. They wanna get fat and rich from our taxes!
We all know the truth folks, these pricks just want to lie, cheat and steal for their own benefit. So better watch out who you vote next May 2013!!!

Good comment for a non-partido area resident. Quick to dismiss a potential honest to goodness civil servant just because he is an actor. Tsk, tsk, tsk, better have time to really know us the people in our district. There are those who are looking for a change. being an actor is not the only description for mr. muhlach, he has a big heart to help the needy even before this political season.
