PhilPost Fails to Deliver Hundreds of Thousands of SSS Notices to Pensioners!

The useless, hopeless, incompetent, pathetic and corruption infested Philippine Postal Office (PhilPost) again screwed up big time on its job. This time it failed to deliver hundreds of thousands of important Social Security System (SSS) notices to Senior citizen pensioners all over the country which resulted in the failure of these old folks to report to the bank branches or SSS branches to prove that they are still alive and therefore entitled to their monthly pension.

As a result of this stupidity, laziness and ineptness of the PhilPost; hundreds of thousands of old SSS pensioners are caught by surprise when their monthly benefits were suddenly cut-off last August 30, 2012. Now it will take at least 3 long, agonizing months before SSS can reinstate their monthly allowances even if the pensioners have already reported to the specified SSS branches.

Yes, 3 long months of no pension to buy their much needed medicines, food and other basic needs. All of these great aggravation happened because the 2 government institutions, SSS and PhilPost failed to create back-up plans on their services to prevent such problems from ever happening. SSS should have used advertisements in print, radio and TV to announce the notice many months in advance and PhilPost should have issued specific and strict orders to its personnel to deliver the notices at least 6 months before the August 30, 2012 deadline at all costs. The PhilPost should have exerted all efforts in conveying hose SSS notices to the pensioners and not just concentrating on stealing packages in their warehouses.

Hundreds of thousands of SSS pensioners are now in desperate need after their monthly allowances have been cut-off. Most of these old folks are not rich and most of their pensions are not that big but still, it is their hard earned right. They deserve every centavo from it and nobody has the right to take that away; not SSS and certainly not PhilPost!

  1. You're right. I hope that PhilPost will change. It's not good. Many are still complaining about their service. I am one of them actually. My parcel is not yet delivered. My friend from Spain is also complaining(the one who send me the parcel). No one answers our e-mails and calls.
