According to a recent news item, the fading and almost extinct Lakas-CMD Political Party which used to be the dominant bloc a few decades ago is now plagued by defections and desertions by its members, is now hemorrhaging uncontrollably. The Lakas-CMD which was formed by then former House Speaker Jose De Venecia (who was one of the most corrupt politicians since the beginning of time) to help former Pres. Fidel V. Ramos win the 1992 elections. It was once the strongest, robust and most popular political party at that time; just like the Kilusang Bagong Lipunan (KBL) of Pres. Ferdinand E. Marcos Sr. in the 70's and in the 80's. Everybody who wanted to enter politics and to assure their victory in the polls always joined the KBL in it's heydays and the Lakas-CMD during Pres. Ramos and Pres. Gloria Arroyo's glorious days.
But after the many controversies during the term of former Pres. Gloria Arroyo and the popularity, conquest and triumph of Pres. Noynoy Aquino as head of state; Lakas-CMD now is near its last dying breath. This political party will no longer pose any threat to other political organizations in the near future, just like what happened to the KBL party of then dictator Ferdinand E. Marcos. The once powerful, dominant and a force to be reckoned with has turned into a helpless, feeble weakling. It is like Samson with a shaved head, dudes! Lol.
Although the Lakas-CMD still claims to be able to win a couple of electoral positions this coming May 2013 by fielding and supporting large numbers of actors and actresses as their official candidates, I believe that it is not enough to revive its ending and terminating existence. The death of Lakas-CMD as a political party is close at hand, the loyal members of Lakas if there are anybody still left should start singing Frank Sinatra's "My Way" at the nearest and cheapest Videoke Bar that they can find.
The boast of Sen. Ramon "Bong" Revilla Jr. who is the leader of Lakas-CMD that their party will rise from the ashes and again become a great coalition this coming election is nothing but a school boy's wet dream; which is destined to get spilled, dry out, wasted and failed. :)
Before I forget, Cong. Suarez of Isabela or Quirino or wherever it is said the Lakas-CMD is preparing, grooming and priming Sen. Bong Revilla as Presidential candidate on 2016. Cong. Suarez got famous a few years ago when spent a million pesos of taxpayer's money in an expensive restaurant in New York City for then Pres, Gloria Arroyo and other party mates. Suarez defended his spending by saying that it was his own money that he spent on that luxurious dinner but nobody believed that shit face. Everybody knew that all politicians are stealing our taxes and using it as their own!
Rep. Suarez said Sen. Bong Revilla will surely win and wipe out all of his opponents on the 2016 Elections because of his "anting-anting" or amulet inspired films; Sen. Revilla is famous action star. Holy Mary, Mother of God!!! If Sen. Ramon "Bong" Revilla Jr. is the best candidate for President out of the almost 100 million Filipinos out there then each and everyone of us must really suck!!! Please God, save us from these political assholes! Grant us O Lord, Your Divine Wisdom and Guidance and prevent us Filipinos from electing another idiot President on 2016!!! Amen.
