Have you guys heard, read or watched the latest news about Rep. Manny Pacquiao? Well, Manny said on TV that he is open to the idea of running as Vice-President if anybody wants to get him as running mate. Jesus, Mary and Joseph! Do you believe this guy?
I hope Manny did not mean that he's ready to run as Vice-President on 2013 because I don't think there is an election or vacancy for President and Vice-President next year. Lol. Maybe Manny meant the elections on 2016 but I don't think all Filipinos will vote for him as Vice-President and then maybe as President later on in the future.
Hey, Manny is a good boxer but I don't think he will be a good Vice-President or President in the future. Boxing is a very different scenario compared to the Presidency and nobody should take both lightly. Winning a boxing match is no easy feat but so is running a whole country of almost 100 Million people, that is also not so simple. Filipinos must be extra careful in choosing a leader to run our nation, especially on a country that is heavily infected with graft and corruption like our country.
Sure, Manny is a good man but to deliver the Philippines and the Filipinos to a better future would mean a leader with extra-ordinary faculty, capability, competence, honesty and decency. An ordinary man could not do it, not in the present state of our corrupted and ruined nation. We need a "super-duper Superman" to get our country back to its feet again.
It doesn't matter if our next President came from a rich or poor family background; what really matters is if he is decent, honest and trustworthy...but he most also have above average intelligence or else he will end up as a dumb ass leader like Erap. A good leader must not rely on a bunch of advisers to run his Presidency, a great leader should be able to think and decide by himself. We need a leader like King Solomon without his extra marital affairs of course.
So this early on, I'm saying to Manny Pacquiao. Thanks but no thanks Manny; I don't think that you will get my vote if you run as Vice-President on May 2016 or as President on May 2022 if I got my calculations right. Like most Filipinos, I may be frantic in searching, finding and electing the best leader for our country to make every Pinoys lives better but I am not that desperate to vote for you. I simply think that you are not the right man for the job.
