A few days ago a word war erupted between Senate President Juan Ponce Enrile and Sen. Antonio Trillanes IV in connection with the younger senator's secret trips to China. Sen. Enrile who is the Senate President (for the nth time, barf!!!) felt left out and insulted when the younger Trillanes left the Philippines to act as a backdoor negotiator with the Chinese Government with regards to Spratly's Islands issue. You see, Sen. Trillanes never asked permission from the Senate President before leaving for China.
The old Senator, in his anger and frustration; revealed "secret" details of the mission in China against the warnings of Sen. Trillanes that it was a matter of national security and must not be disclosed in public. But the old horse, Sen. Enrile wouldn't heed the younger senator's warnings and proceeded in spilling the beans. Sen. Enrile even mocked Trillanes by telling him up front that nobody can tell him (Enrile) what to do or not to do. I guess it's really true that you can never teach an old dog new tricks huh? Lol.
So the younger senator has no other recourse but to walk out of the Senate since he can't make Sen. Enrile shut his pie hole and certainly, Sen. Trillanes can't punch an 85+ year old man right in the kisser. Maybe Sen. Trillanes should have launched another coup attempt outside the Senate grounds to overthrow the Senate President since he (Trillanes) was a coup plotter in the past. Come to think of it, Sen. Enrile was a coup plotter too in the 80's; maybe both men can't stand a fellow coup plotter eh? Lol.
Anyway, the Senate President had a field day of accusing Trillanes of giving away the Spratly's Islands to the Chinks while Sen. Trillanes charged Sen. Enrile of being an ass kisser of ex-Pres. Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo. According to Trillanes, Enrile is keen on passing a bill that will divide a province named Camarines Sur to create another province for Gloria Arroyo's son; Datu Arroyo. Datu Arroyo is a last termer Congressman in Camarines Sur and as his name implies, he wants to be a Datu or chief forever hence a new province must be made for him. In retaliation, Sen. Enrile accused Trillanes of planning to oust him as Senate President because he (Enrile) denied Trillanes' request for a bigger budget for his committee.
Well, I don't think the whole shebang started because of the secret trips to China made by Sen. Trillanes; I also disagree that the row between the two senators began due to the denial of a bigger budget for Trillanes. I bet it all started because Election Day is fast approaching (May 2013) and maybe these two are up for re-election. What else is the best and most effective way to get the attention of the voters and win the elections? The best and most effective way to win the election is create controversy among themselves and to tear down, annihilate, ruin and wreck other candidates to ensure your own victory.
Sweet Jesus, please help us get away from these assholes and liberate our people and nation from these scumbags who pretend to serve and protect our interests. In reality we all know what they are really after, our hard earned taxes...
