A drugstore salesgirl was stabbed dead by her ex-boyfriend as she was working inside the establishment in Escalante, Negros Occidental. The whole incident was caught and recorded by the CCTV of the said drugstore. The footage showed the victim inside the store acting weird and agitated. She also went to work earlier than scheduled as her duty starts at night but she was already in the store before noon.
The CCTV showed the girl texting someone on her cell phone and the victim kept on looking at the front of the store, she was obviously scared and worried. The footage from the camera also revealed a man standing just outside the store, right in front of the establishment. This scene kept on going for a while before the girl again went to the front portion of the store to take a look at the guy outside.
Then without any warning or provocation, the man outside the store suddenly stabs the hapless girl in the chest. The killer was about to jump inside the drugstore from outside to continue stabbing her but the victim managed to run towards the back of the store while clutching her wounded chest. The killer saw her escape so he quickly left the premises. The store had no metal bars in front to prevent any intruder from entering which was a bad decision from the business owner.
The girl was mortally wounded by that single violent thrust as her heart was punctured and she immediately died a few moments later. She was not alone in the store before the crime happened, another co-worker was also there but she was lying on a couch or something before the suspect attacked the girl. The CCTV footage did not show the co-worker helping the victim after being attacked so it's not clear if there was a witness to the crime.
The cops said the footage didn't clearly show the face of the felon so he's still at large. During the victim's funeral, 5 other boyfriends of the girl showed up and cops interrogated them all to find out who's the culprit. The victim's mother and her other family members also can't point their finger at any suspect, so the coppers will have work their asses to catch the bastard.
I guess it doesn't pay to have too many lovers. You just don't know what a jilted lover can do once you dump or reject them. I think that's reason why they call jealousy as "the green-eyed monster" because it can turn anybody into a real monster.....
