Courtesy Lanes for ADB Delegates Pisses Motorists.

The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) has provided "courtesy lanes" to the delegates of the Board of Governors of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) who were having their conference here in our country. The said courtesy lanes were provided for the ADB guests so that they will not be hampered and burdened with the heavy traffic flow that Metro Manila is notorious for. So the result was heavenly smooth travel for the delegates but humongous traffic jams for the ordinary Juan Dela Cruz!

Almost all of the Filipino drivers and commuters were at a standstill in their cars, jeepneys or buses; there was simply no movement from the traffic, well maybe a couple of feet in every half an hour or so is all that you can get. Now that is really frustrating after a hard days' work and you want to go home to your family so that you can put decent food in your gut and take a shower later on before going to bed. But no sirs, you are stuck in a huge, colossal and titanic traffic jam. Their is simply no escape whatsoever to the Pinoys' never ending woes!

As usual some Pinoy drivers tried to use the courtesy lanes too but they were ordered back to the vehicle jam packed ordinary lanes by the MMDA personnel. A few Japanese ADB delegates refused to use the courtesy lanes and opted to to suffer the same ass numbing traffic jam just like the ordinary motorists. Well and good, at least the Japanese have onion-skinned faces and are now fully aware of other people's feelings. The Japanese people have really changed for the better...I hope!

Unlike during World War II when the Japanese Imperial Army used to snatch Filipino babies from their mothers' arms and then throw the babies high up in the air and catches the poor child with their fixed bayonets on thier rifles. Yup, instant Pinoy baby bayonet barbecue! The Japanese officers even had a field day chopping off Filipino civilians heads for fun with their swords. Oh yeah guys, that really happened during World War II. If you don't believe me then better ask your Grandpas and Grandmas about the Japanese atrocities, if they are in their 70's or 80's with good memory I'm sure they will know what I'm talking about.

So there it is, humongous traffic jams for Juan Dela Cruz and heavenly smooth traffic less flow for the ADB Delegates. They are our guests so let's give them that special treatment; Filipinos are world famous for our hospitality so let's give them that. In a few days these guests will be out of the country so let's be patient okay? Next time let's go home earlier than these VIPs or let's hit the road later when these delegates are already in their hotels. That's better that busting you ass inside your car seat in heavy, heavy traffic.
