A US nuclear submarine is presently docked at the Subic Bay in Zambales. The USS North Carolina which is said to be one of the most advanced and sophisticated war machines of the US Military is idly floating in those calm waters of Subic, Zambales. Some say that it was there to show China that the US is still a force to be reckoned with and that the Chinks cannot become the new world superpower overnight. Others think that the US are telling the Chinese to back-off and forget about claiming all of the Spratly's Islands and sucking all its vast oil reserves because the Americans won't allow that from happening. Hell, the Gringos need all the oil that they can get their hands on too!
I don't really know what the USS North Carolina is doing in Subic and the US will never tell us why that sub is out there but we should all welcome it so that we can show the Chinks that Old Uncle Sam has not forgotten about us Juan Dela Cruzes. Th US could be interested in the Spratly's Islands because it needs a sure and steady supply of cheap oil to keep its huge military hardware functioning and ready to defend its nation from terrorists and from asshole nations like China. The Americans have been the superpower for many decades now and they can't let that supremacy slip away, especially in these times when all terrorist groups and most Middle Eastern countries are itching to blow things up again in the US.
So the Chinks should slow down from trying to grab all of that allegedly oil and gas rich area because the Gringos are also here to siphon up all that oil for their own benefits. If you ask me, I think it's better to let the Gringos get their much needed oil in the Spratly's Islands than let the Chinese have it all. The Americans have been our ally since World War II and although our relationship with them may not have been picture perfect, the Gringos have treated us Pinoys a bit better than the Chinks. Remember, the Chinese executed a couple of our countrymen for drug trafficking in China and a lot more are next on the chopping block. Despite our Governments' pleas to commute those Pinoys' execution to life imprisonment, the Chinks still killed those poor Filipinos; now would you prefer siding with those kind of asswipes who don't give a rat's ass about human lives?
Let's welcome these US Military Forces in our shores, the Americans may not be Saints and Angels but they're a lot better than the Chinese bullies out there. At least if Old Uncle Sam does decide to slurp all that oil in the Spratly's area for his own use, he may still give us a bucket full or two for our own use too. As for the Chinks, if they occupy that area they will surely take all that oil for themselves and never give us a drop of it. Welcome back Uncle Sam and kiss off Chinks!!!
