Jimmy Sieczka, the American guy who made and uploaded a video in the Internet about the 20 things why he doesn't like the Philippines have apologized after a lot of Filipinos got pissed at him. I'm a Filipino too and I also got annoyed at his video but I guess he was also right at what he said about us. We Filipinos do have a lot of flawed, defective and appalling behavior and we must all admit to that.
Instead of getting pissed at Mr. Sieczka, we should accept his criticism and use it to improve and eliminate all the awful things that we do. We should use his comments to correct our mistakes and imperfections. Let's accept the fact that he was right in his video, we do piss and spit all over the place. We have open manholes and other dangerous things in our streets and sidewalks. It's also true that Metro Manila is dirty and smelly and...yucky!
Yes, he was right. So don't you go hanging the guy to the nearest tree that you can find, he was just telling the truth about our nation. It was a good thing though that he didn't say anything about our THIEVING POLITICIANS AND CROOKED COPS or else the Politicians will declare him as persona non grata faster that he could spell his surname. They'll probably throw his ass in jail too if he said our Politicians are nothing but a bunch jackass crooks. Which is by the way, the whole truth.
Thanks Jimmy for frankly telling us our flaws and imperfections. We will use it to correct and improve our mistakes. Maybe in your next video you could also show the good nature and character of the Filipino people. I'm sure you'll find a lot of good things about the Philippines too.
