Missing Australian Lover Reunited with Pinay Girlfriend.

An Australian citizen who went missing for 10 days after arriving in the Philippines was finally reunited with his Filipina girlfriend. The girlfriend asked the help of the news networks here to assist her in finding her missing Australian suitor. She was supposed to meet him at the airport when he arrived but she said she was caught in a traffic jam for a few hours and the Aussie decided to get out of the airport alone. She was probably late because of the old Filipino trait of being tardy all the time.

The CCTVs at the airport confirmed that the Aussie indeed arrived at the airport that day and he was caught by the security cameras leaving the airport premises alone. The girlfriend was so scared that her boyfriend may have been abducted or victimized by the various criminals or con artists that are all over the Metropolis. The couple were about to get married after meeting in a dating website and it was the second time that the Australian was visiting his girlfriend here in the Philippines.

It turned out that the Aussie, Michael Martin Carauna,55 got tired of waiting for his Filipina girlfriend Veniz Jane Galvez, 27 to turn up to fetch him at the airport that he decided to go out to the arrival area. It was there that a taxi driver harassed him and kept on telling him that his girlfriend will never get there to get him off the airport. Then 3 men suddenly tried to grab his luggage which scared him so he was forced to ride the cab. Carauna told the cab driver to take him to the Pearl Manila Hotel where he and his girlfriend used to stay but the cabbie took him to a different hotel.

It was there that the Aussie got lost and went untraceable for 10 days. He kept on roaming the Robinson's Mall in Malate, Manila hoping to find his girlfriend but it was futile. He was eventually located by the police when he used his credit card in paying for his hotel bills. It was then that he was finally reunited with his girlfriend.

It was a good thing that the Aussie did not encounter the notorious Ativan Gang or the likes of the Police Colonel that kidnapped, killed and buried his female Chinese business partner inside a septic tank. Otherwise, that Aussie guy would have ended up in deep trouble, with an empty wallet and a bad headache or worse, dead inside a septic tank too.

This story should serve as a warning to all of us not to venture out alone in some strange place or country. It's always sensible to wait for your friends to avoid being victimized by lawless elements. It's also good advice to be on time every time so we should junk the "Filipino time" which means late all the time. Being tardy is not a good attribute so we better get rid of that bad characteristic.
