In period where the preservation, protection and conservation of trees is at its out most significance because of the threat of Global Warming and Climate Change in our world, the SM Mall in Baguio City has started to uproot more than 200 pine trees in its property. Why? Just so it can build a new parking lot for its customers. Yup, 200 trees sacrificed for a new bloody parking lot extension!
Are you guys fathoming this? Earth-balling 200 pine trees from its natural habitat so they could build a new parking lot for fossil fuel burning, carbon emitting and Global Warming/Climate Changing vehicles? Have Henry Sy, his family and the SM Management lost all their marbles? Kill 200 perfectly healthy adult pine trees (earth-balling is not 100% sure that the trees, which are more than 30 years old will ever survive) so you can replant little trees somewhere else to take its place? Isn't that the dumbest thing that you've ever heard of in your life? Wow, what a bunch of greedy folks do we have in our country! Mr. Henry Sy and his family are no exemption, they are indeed members of the Greedy Bunch Incorporated!
Yeah, sure they own the property and they can do anything they want with it but is it worth sacrificing the future survival of our planet? I'm sure many of you will smile and laugh at me, you might say that killing 200 trees won't make that much difference but if that is how all of us humans think now, then how can we start preventing or reversing the effects of Global Warming? Remember, the effects of Climate Change is now upon us worldwide and destroying more fully grown trees and replanting new ones to replace them won't help us thwart its consequences. We need all the fully grown trees now while the new, small ones we just planted are still taking many years to fully mature.
I guess the owners of SM Malls don't really care about saving the environment; all they think about is the cash flow to their cash registers and bank accounts. Them being so very rich, they probably think they can buy their own planet when this one eventually conks out a few decades from now. Who knows, by that time, travel to other planets could be a reality and they can easily afford it since they are so super filthy rich. That would leave us poor folks once again to try breathing, living and surviving in this world that these greedy rich people have endlessly plundered, raped and abused for their own profit. Damn, life really sucks for the poor and the innocent!!!
