OFWs Rally Against Pricey Medical Clinics.

A group of Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) held a rally against private medical clinics here in the country that charge exorbitant fees on overseas workers's medical and physical examinations. Most of these private medical clinics that charge excessive fees are those that are accredited by the various recruitment agencies and by the Embassies of Middle Eastern countries that the OFWs are applying for work abroad.

OFWs can't have their Medical/Physical Examination on any medical clinic that they choose because the recruitment agencies and the Embassies will not accept the results of the tests if they are not from their own "accredited" clinics. According to the rules and guidelines of the Department of Health (DOH), any OFW can choose any medical clinic where they want to have their tests done as long as that health center is recognized and certified by the DOH. But the various recruitment agencies and Foreign Embassies refuse to accept and obey that ruling.

So the poor Filipino who's applying  to find work abroad to earn some money for his family is again screwed by these money hungry clinics. As I've already mentioned in my past blogs, these "Bagong Bayani" or "New Heroes" as the Government loves to call our OFWs are the "New Milking Cows" of the the Government and of the greedy private recruitment agencies and these gluttonous medical clinics. The unfortunate Juan Dela Cruz who's dreaming of going to work abroad oftentimes gets screwed and conned again and again by his fellow Filipinos and then by these foreign employers.

Damn! Are the Filipino people destined to be swindled over and over again by everybody? We get scammed by greedy Recruitment Agencies, we get ripped-off by Government Officials, we get robbed by double-dealing cops and criminals and then when we go abroad, we get double-crossed again by our foreign employers! Holy crap! Are we a bunch of jinxed population or something? What do you think?
