Arnold Clavio in Hot Water for Azkals Comment.

GMA news anchor Arnold Clavio is in hot water after saying in their early morning program "Unang Hirit" that most of the Azkals members are not real Filipinos because of their skin color and due to the fact that they did not grow up here in the country. Clavio said that they are just pretending to be Filipinos and this prompted the Philippine Football Federation (PFF) to file a formal letter of complaint against Mr. Clavio.

The remarks of Arnold Clavio stemmed from the Azkals sexist remarks at Cristy Ramos (daughter of Ex-Pres. Fidel Ramos) who filed a case of Sexual Harassment against two Azkals members. PFF Pres. Mariano Araneta even wrote GMA Pres. Gilberto Duavit Jr., to express their complaints against Mr. Clavio. Ms. Cristy Ramos is the Match Commissioner who went down to the Azkals' locker room to check on the players credentials. It was there that the two team members uttered sexist remarks at her.

I agree with Arnold Clavio's statement that most of the Philippine Azkals are not really 100% Filipinos; most of them are mestizos or half-breeds. I am not a racist but I do agree with Arnold Clavio that they are not pure Pinoys and that they didn't grow up here, they can't even speak Tagalog and they don't even look like Pinoys so it's obvious that they are not local kids.

I guess it's our own fault that mestizos are arrogant and big headed in our country. We just love half-breeds more than our local actors, athletes or artists. Just look at the things we prefer to buy or use, imported never locally made if one can afford to buy the expensive stuff. Same goes with our idols, we prefer to admire and idolize foreigners or mestizos than pure Pinoys. It's just the way it is....

As for Cristy Ramos, she probably thought her dad is still the President of the country so she went down to the Azkals locker room unannounced. Well, she got what she deserved. sexist remarks from a bunch of arrogant mestizo athletes who are a bunch of losers. I guess they all deserve each other, a bunch of arrogant half-breed athletes and an equally arrogant Ex-President's daughter.

As for Arnold Clavio, he was just expressing his feelings and opinion just like what I'm doing. Most of us Filipinos feel the same way too. If you're a mestizo or a foreigner in our country you get better chances of becoming popular or making it big but if you're an "indio" looking Pinoy, you won't get so much attention and probably you won't make it far.....
