The Impeachment Trial of the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court was initiated by his alleged defective and flawed Statement of Assets, Liabilities and Net worth (SALN) document. The Prosecutors accused the Top Magistrate of the Land that he deliberately altered, omitted and lied in his SALN to cover up his ill-gotten wealth. That is one of the primary reasons why Chief Justice Renato Corona is literally, in deep shit all the way up to his nose.
A news reporter tried to discover if the Congressmen, Senators and other Government Officials would be willing to furnish a copy of their SALN to her so she could also scrutinize if they are telling the truth in their documents. But as expected, most of the Solons refused to furnish her a copy of the said record.
I believe a SALN is a public document and being such, every Filipino citizen has the right to examine what these political Leaders and Government Officials have written in them. If these statesmen and public servants have nothing to hide then they should provide anybody who asks them a copy of their lists of possessions.
The reporter discovered that most of the Solons are also lying and omitting important details in their SALNs. That's not surprising as these Politicians and Government Leaders are the "Founding Fathers of all Graft and Corruption" in our country. So next time these so called governing leaders of our nation act as if they are so pure, clean and untainted; you better not fall for their ploys. You better get ready to puke your guts out when these vermin start acting like they are virtuous persons. Because in reality, they are very, very, very yucky people. Barf!!!
