Pres. Aquino Tells PMA Graduates to be Honest.

Pres. Noynoy Aquino urged the 187 Cadets of the Philippine Military Academy who graduated today to be honest and to fight the Graft and Corruption in our country. The President said the temptation of corruption is the most dangerous enemy that the graduates will face once they are out in the real world. He said the new grauduates' enemies are not only the various armed groups but also those who will  bribe them as they perform their duties.

This is because of the countless scandals in the Military about corrupt officers, all the way to the Top Brass. He even told them that if they succumb to the temptation of corruption that millions of Juan Dela Cruzes will suffer for their evil actions. The President even warned them that in the end, they will not enjoy their ill-gotten wealth as thy will be found out.

The President is right in urging these fresh military graduates to be honest and to remain steadfast in their honorable ideals. But the reality must be accepted that in our nation, Graft and Corruption is already deeply rooted and may never be removed or eradicated. As time passes by, these young soldiers will eventually become corrupt Senior Officers and that cannot be prevented or avoided.

Why? Because every each one of us is exposed to the anomalies in our society. We can easily see that those who LIE, CHEAT and STEAL in our country are the ones who can enjoy all the best things in life. We often see that those who are corrupt in our society always become our leaders and they always end up running and controlling the nation. Those who are dishonest are the ones who can raise their family well while the honest folks can't even make ends meet.

So after struggling to fight for their ideals for many years, these fresh graduates will eventually fall prey to the Graft and Corruption in our society. Hell, they will end up like the corrupt Generals and Politicians that we have now. It's just a matter of time....they will end up the same way. And they will never get caught or be punished for their offenses....it's just the way it is in our country. In the Philippines, Crime does Pay.....
