New Born Baby Placed in a Bag and Hanged on a Tree Branch.

A newly born baby girl was found placed inside a plastic grocery bag and was suspended on a tree branch. Residents thought it was a kitten inside the plastic bag but they were surprised to to find that it was baby. The baby was immediately rushed to the nearest hospital and was declared safe, doctors and nurses immediately cleaned the baby to prevent any infection or decease.

Local folks in the area suspect that the baby was a result of unprotected sex among teenagers. It was a good thing that the mother of the baby let her child live and did not have an abortion. The way the baby was placed in a plastic bag and left hanging on a tree branch was obviously to attract a Good Samaritan to help take care of the infant.

This is one of the reasons why I am not against the Government's Reproductive Health Bill (RH Bill). In my opinion, it is better to teach the youth and the sexually active people on how to prevent unwanted pregnancies by using effective and safe artificial methods of contraception. The use of condoms, pills, spermicidal and IUD's are not a form of abortion since it prevents the male sperm and the female egg from "meeting" so there is no conception taking place hence there is no abortion.

I am a Catholic and I am against any form of abortion. Any means of terminating an innocent life should never be accepted, condoned or promoted by any individual or any Government. Using contraceptives is not a sin or is it in any way a form of abortion in my opinion and the Catholic Church's stand that all forms of artificial contraceptive is similar to abortion is simply erroneous.

The Clergy believes that promoting the use of contraceptives will also encourage the youth to engage in premarital sex maybe true but still, resorting to abortion after getting pregnant is a lot worse than premarital sex. I hope the Government pushes through with its RH Bill; teach the the people how to control their reproductive system so they will never have to resort to aborting their unwanted pregnancies.

An ounce of prevention is better than a pound of cure. The Catholic Church says it's Pro-Life that is why it rejects the RH Bill. Well, if the Catholic Church is willing to pay for the check-ups of the pregnant woman, delivery charges, infant-milk formula, clothes, education and everything else of every baby born until it reaches adult life then let's obey what the Catholic Church wants.

It's easy to say no to contraceptives when you don't have many mouths to feed. Besides, it's 2012 and not the Dark Ages where the Catholic Church used to control and dictate everything to its followers. There are no more burning at the stakes of non-believers so we can decide what is best for ourselves.
