Legacy causes traffic jams, car crash?

Th Bourne Legacy film shoot is causing huge traffic jams and even allegedly, a multiple vehicle accident here in the Metropolis. Huge traffic jams not because of the local folks trying to catch a glimpse of the Hollywood stars but due to the closing down of various main streets and thoroughfares for the film shoot. Local motorists  plying that route are complaining about the slow moving traffic flow, vendors of various goods are also getting grouchy about their lost daily income due to the lack of regular customers passing by their location. Yup, a lot of folks are grumpy because of that Hollywood film.

Well, not all are losing money and getting testy on the Hollywood film making here in Manila. Numerous "extras" are being hired and paid, many taxis, jeepneys and private vehicles are also making money when their services are required on the film. So it's okay to let these foreign film outfits do their film making here in our country, not only do we get additional income for the locals but the country can also become the "Little Hollywood in Asia" where foreigners can come and make their films here.

It's not only cheaper to shoot movies here but the Filipinos are also English literate and the country is generally peaceful and safe for foreigners. Just don't go to the Southern part of the country, where the Abu Sayyaf are known to dwell and you'll be okay. Unlike that "professional tour guide and photographer" who took 2 foreigners to Tawi-Tawi to go bird watching and ended up being kidnapped. Not all Filipinos are as dumb as he is so foreigners don't have to worry too much.

And what about the multiple car pile up allegedly caused by the film shoot? Turns out that the accident happened many blocks away and is caused by a drunk delivery van driver who tried to blame it on the film  making to get off the hook. Maybe he watched too many James Bond movies.....well, at least he tried his best to weasel his way out.
