Metro Buses limited at 40kph.

The Department of Transportation and Communications (DOTC) Chief Mar Roxas is set to limit the speed of Metro Manila buses at 40kph maximum. This is in line with the various accidents involving these highway behemoths which have already claimed so many innocent lives. Metro Manila buses are notorious at regularly breaking the speed limits due to the competition or "race" against other buses for getting the most number of passengers.

Most of the bus drivers plying the Metro routes are reckless and sometimes high on drugs to be able to drive for more than 12 hours or more none stop. The competition is so tough between bus companies and drivers due to the constant rising of fuel prices and the high number of buses plying the same routes. It's no mystery why these highway monsters travel at break neck speeds to get the most commuters on the streets. Believe me, when you get inside a bus in the Metro, you better hold on for your dear life and make sure to pray for your safety.

The DOTC is strictly implementing the 40kph rule next month and all buses are to be fitted with speed limiters to make sure that they will comply with the order. All bus companies must abide by the rule and they must not tamper with the speed limiters or else the entire bus fleet will be prevented from plying their routes.

Now, that's a good move from the Government, anything that will make the streets and highways of our nation safer and ensure our well-being will get my approval. Let's just hope that the DOTC Inspectors won't get bribed by the bus operators to look the other way when the speed limiters are tinkered with. Let's wait and see what happens next month on our busy and deadly thoroughfares.

Fraternity Leader, 30 others face Expulsion.

Lambda Rho Beta Fraternity leader Eduardo Escobar and 30 other members involved in the hazing and murder of San Beda College law freshman Marvin Reglos faces possible expulsion from the school. This is according to the San Beda College Administration. The college have been discouraging the various fraternities in its school from any hazing activities but it was still continued secretly. It seems that age old traditions are hard to break, even if it means killing another human being.

Most of the fraternity senior members or alumni defended their brotherhood, citing the various beneficial and advantageous benefits of being a frat member. That's fine but all of these benefits are worthless if human lives are at risk. Sure, not all frat members die during the initiation rites and only a few "unlucky ones" accidentally conk out but still, a death of a single innocent person negates all the benefits that an institution may provide.

Most of the hazing deaths in the country involves law students and this is a bad onset to our future lawmakers. Lawyers are supposed to defend the legal rights of all individuals regardless of their social stature. They are like doctors who take an oath to provide medical remedy to the people. Lawyers also take an oath to look after the legal rights of the populace. But if from the very start of their learning process these future lawyers are already breaking the laws which they are supposed to uphold and support, then how could they morally serve the general public after graduating from school?

No wonder there is a quote that says, "Let's shoot all the lawyers and we'll have a better society" or something to that effect. I do agree, most of the time lawyers make legal things so complicated and complex than it really should. Just look at our leaders, it's wrong to lie, cheat and steal but somehow they all know how to make every wrong thing they do to become so legally right.

Senators and Congressmen Condemn Hazing Murder.

A lot of Statesmen have joined the bandwagon in condemning the death of hazing victim Marvin Reglos even if most of them admitted that they are also members of various fraternity groups. They all openly expressed their disgust, dismay and revulsion at the perpetrators while at the same time cited the benefits of joining fraternities without the usual violence involved.

It's nice to know that these Solons care but deep inside you can't just believe that they are really sincere in what they are saying. How can you condemn, criticize and rebuke something that you are also  part of? How can one criticize something and then also commend its good points? These politicians are yanking our chains again. They are just using the death of a poor hazing victim to gain media mileage.

An individual with good moral fiber cannot be neutral in issues like this senseless and brutal murder of an innocent human being. It's either you're hot or cold, never lukewarm....that's the bottom line.

Corona and Marcos are Similar?

A lady activist said that Supreme Court Chief Justice Renato Corona is similar to the former dictator Ex-Pres. Ferdinand E. Marcos and I do agree with her. I believe that the Chief Thief Corona is comparable to King of Thieves Marcos at the following points: 1) Both refuse to step down from their posts. 2) Both stole millions or billions from the government and the masses. 3) Both used their intellect to enrich themselves rather than to serve the masses.

Former dictator Marcos ruled for more than 20 years in our country and thousands of people who opposed his tyranny were either killed or were wiped out by the Police or by the Military. Although Corona would pale in comparison to the ill-gotten wealth of Marcos, both of them are thieves. Graft and corruption seems to be their middle name, both are cut from the same tree.

Instead of serving the Filipino people and using their God given intelligence (or is it a gift from the Devil?) to uplift our nation and our lives, they exploited and manipulated us all for their own benefits. They raped out nation and our citizenry. One could compare them to Judas who betrayed Jesus for a few pieces of silver but in their case, they screwed us with millions or billions of pesos. They should have hanged themselves to the nearest tree they could find but unlike Judas, they have no conscience.

Yes, all Politicians and Leaders in our Government are identical with Ferdinand Marcos and Renato Corona; they all LIE, CHEAT and STEAL. The former dictator taught his political and military cronies well, so well that after so many generations have passed, graft and corruption is so deeply entrenched in our nation. Before Ferdinand Marcos came to rule our nation, most public servants were honest and decent. After his more than 20 year rule, all politicians, leaders and government workers and their decendants are immoral and corrupt.

This immorality and wickedness in our political leaders and in our government will remain for many more generations to come. No thanks for Mr. Ferdinand Marcos and to all the politicians and leaders like him, may his soul and all the rest of them burn in hell for eternity for ruining the lives and future of the Filipino people....

U.S.-Iran Crisis= Sky Rocketing Fuel Prices!

The recent tension between the U.S. and Iran has threatened to make fuel prices to rise again in the next few days. Fears of an escalation of the crisis have increased oil rates daily in the world market. If a shooting war in the Persian Gulf happens then the whole world is going to experience extreme costs at the gas pumps.

The whole world should put their efforts at discovering a new and renewable source of fuel for all our power and transportation needs. This is the only way to stop oil wars between nations and to keep the economies of all nations moving forward. Without energy and fuel, all our factories and transportation machineries will ground to a halt. All economy will stop growing, everything will cease to move.

It's entirely our fault, we rested on our laurels and forgot the fact that oil will someday run out and that the nations that supply them will get greedy and raise their prices everyday. This has been happening since the 1970's, during the first oil crisis but we're all too lazy and stupid to discover a new fuel source. We need a new fuel that is more efficient, economical, environment friendly, abundant and renewable. Like power from solar, wind, water, etc. The brightest scientists will figure something out, you can bet on that.

Frat Leader Escobar: It Wasn't Me!

San Beda College Frat leader Eduardo Escobar quickly denied his involvement in the hazing incident which claimed the life of law freshman Marvin Reglos. This guy refused to give any statements to the NBI and to the media without the consent of his lawyer and yet he pledged to give his full cooperation to the authorities for the speedy solution of the hazing murder.

I'm already beginning to detest this guy. He's swift at disavowing his involvement and quick to promise cooperation with the investigators but he keeps his mouth shut all the time. Another case of a young crook in the making. I bet this guy belongs to a family of political crooks that's why he's acting like a professional felon at such a young age.

The whole world seems to be run and controlled by criminals, villains, outlaws and scoundrels. Where are the honest, decent and God-fearing people nowadays? And these youngsters are expected to take the reins of our Government in the future? That's one scary scenario!!!

President Aquino Clears Classmate!

Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corp. (PAGCOR) Chairman Cristino Naguiat who was accused of receiving bribes from a Japanese gambling tycoon connected with the Wynn Resorts was immediately cleared by President Noynoy Aquino. It turns out that Pres. Aquino and Chairman Naguiat were former classmates in Ateneo. Now, isn't that something? Even if you break the law as long as you're a friend, former classmate or a firearm shooting buddy of the President, you will be exonerated of all charges.

Is that the way our President runs his premiership? If it is then all Filipinos are again in deep shit! Why do we always end up electing the most stupid and corrupt leaders to run our country? We're always making the same mistakes over and over again, are we a cursed race, nation or something? First we elected Ferdinand Marcos in the 1960's, then Joseph Estrada in the 1990's, then Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo and now Pres. Noynoy Aquino might also be a bad leader?

A good leader should not tolerate bad eggs in his government. He should fire them or punish them if they commit illegal acts and not quickly exculpate them. A through investigation should be made before they are absolved from all offenses. Just like the Cabinet Member who packs an AK-47 assault rifle in his car for protection and who loves to buy pirated DVDs. The President should have fired his sorry ass faster than he can spell Kalashnikov! But then again, what good can you expect from a President who's willing to defy the highest court in the country so his family can keep their hands on more than 5,000 hectares of prime real state and farm land. Once a crook always a crook? Let's keep watching his moves and will soon find out......

Porsche Clerk Finally Resigns...

Remember the Customs clerk that drives a Porsche sports car and totes a gun at work? Well , he just quit his job after the media exposed his tough guy image and proved to the public that he can't stand all that news blitz. These scumbags really work best when nobody else can witness their evil deeds but once they are exposed to the public, they are quick to put their tails between their legs.

So this tough guy can only threaten unarmed civilians at night, I wonder what would have happened if by chance he found another armed motorist willing to shoot back at him. This customs clerk would probably piss his pants at the mere sight of another armed guy prepared to engage him in a firefight.

Customs Commissioner Ruffy Biazon vowed to pursue the cases filed against the clerk even if he had resigned his post but I doubt if that will push through. We've known many cases like this before and unless somebody dies, everything will just be forgotten. I've stopped believing in our politicians, leaders and in our justice system many, many years ago and sad to say, I'll never trust in them again.... There is no justice in our country if you're poor or just an ordinary citizen, period!

Frat Leader Surfaces at NBI.

Lambda Rho Beta Fraternity leader Eduardo Escobar appeared at the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) office after being invited by the Department of Justice (DOJ) Secretary Leila De Lima. The results of the talks were not disclosed to the media but the Frat leader vowed to cooperate with the authorities for the quick solution of the murder of Marvin Reglos. Although after the meeting, when media men tried to interview Escobar, he refused to say anything about the hazing murder. Some cooperation, huh?

DOJ Sec. Leila De Lima is also a member of a sorority connected to the Lambda Rho Beta Fraternity in the San Beda College. That is why the Lambda leader granted the request of the DOJ Secretary for a meeting at the NBI. I hope that these close ties between their fraternities will not result in the whitewash of the murder of Marvin Reglos.

But being both "Brothers and Sisters" of the Lambda Rho Beta makes me feel uneasy. I'm beginning to doubt if Marvin Reglos will ever get the justice that he deserves. These frat members tend to cover up and protect themselves even if a horrific crime has been committed. Their loyalty is to their fraternity and not to the ethics of what they do. In short, they are all scumbags!

Many hazing victims have already died in the past and justice for them is still nowhere to be found. That's why being an ordinary citizen here in the Philippines is so difficult because these vermin tend to protect themselves no matter what the cost.....

Free Trips Abroad to Solons?

The recent hearings on the Impeachment Trial revealed that the Supreme Court Chief Thief Renato Corona also enjoyed special travel privileges from the national flag carrier, the Philippine Airlines (PAL). It was found out that the Chief Thief and his wife can travel all over the world without paying a single cent by using their PAL Platinum Cards.

Apparently this travel privilege is also available to Senators, Congressmen and most Government higher ups. Now, doesn't that make these people very, very lucky? Not only do they get to steal everything in our country, they also get to travel all over the world for free! I bet that it's in the first class seats too!

I guess I'm on the wrong side of the world. I should be working my ass to be a corrupt Politician or a crooked  Government head so I can also enjoy the perks and rewards that I can get from stealing from the masses. It's a billion times more rewarding than blogging but....I doubt if my conscience will let me enjoy my ill-gotten wealth when millions of my fellow Filipinos are in extreme poverty. Thanks but no thanks; I'd rather be a poor blogger than a rich bloodsucker!!!

Not Guilty!!!

Former Philippine President and now Congresswoman Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo entered a plea of "not guilty" when she was arraigned in court for Electoral Sabotage or cheating during the elections. She was all smiles and even gleefully waived at the media and at the court employees. She was still wearing her neck brace but overall, she seemed to be feeling okay and happy.

Maybe she's feeling dandy because she got out of her hospital arrest and was feeling swell to meet other people aside from her usual guards and guests. Or maybe she's optimistic that she'll get off the hook and be vindicated from all the accusations thrown at her. One can't really be sure about what's going on inside these politicians minds because these "creatures" are quite unique from us ordinary folks.

You see these creatures are very thick faced and they firmly believe that they have the right to all the riches and power in this world. They are no different from the Royalties all over the world. They think they are the nobility and therefore they are more privileged than the lower classes. The only problem is this, they can't seem to fathom that it's us masses that provide them with all that wealth and power which they enjoy and love much. They keep forgetting that without us commoners, there can be no royalty.....

Agonizing Reunion.....

After 3 long years of working in South Korea, Marvin Reglos' mother arrives home...without the usual hugs and kisses from loved loves. No warm welcome, no laughter, no cheers, no happiness, nothing ....except pain, sorrow and tears. Instead, a casket welcomes her and inside it lays her son, cold and dead from the beatings he suffered from the Lambda Rho Beta Fraternity.

This is the worst thing that a parent would ever experience, the death of an offspring. It is supposed to be the older parent that passes away first and the descendants are the ones that will put them to rest but not in Marvin Reglos case.

You see, the Lambda Rho Beta Fraternity members tortured and beat the life out of Marvin. It was supposed to be a brotherhood whose sole purpose is to help, protect, love and nurture its members. Fraternities are supposed to be your second family, your brothers, your sisters, your home away from home.....but not for Marvin, not this time.

Now his body is in a coffin in their home in Isabela, with his grieving family beside him. Nobody from his fraternity is claiming responsibility for the incident. No fraternity "brothers and sisters" are protecting or watching over him now, none of his Frat Bros are feeling his family's grief. In fact they are quickly denying that they had anything to do with his death. Everybody is asserting their innocence from the horrible crime that took Marvin's life.

So do you still think that joining fraternities means being with your "brothers" who will never let you down? Think again bro, think again.....

PhilHealth to Reduce Benefits?

News reports said that PhilHealth is going to pay fewer benefits to its members. This means that the Government health insurance is going to shoulder lesser amount of its members' hospital and medical bills. That's what members get right after PhilHealth announced its plans to increase its membership rates; you pay more but you'll get less. Holy crap!!!

Juan Dela Cruz shouldn't be surprised at this development, although PhilHealth members can't help to cry foul over the recent plans of the government agency to lessen their benefits. I mean, this is the Philippines and in our country, the citizens are always cheated, mislead and robbed by our Government. It's just the way it is here.....so never be caught off guard when our Government cheats and steals from you. It's what Governments all over the world naturally do to its citizens, they screw us over and over dude!!!

Thank God for not investing in R.P!!!

Recent news reports on TV disclosed that Wynn Resorts Inc., a casino/gaming company in the U.S. is now pulling out from its previous plans to set up businesses here. The news said the main reason why the company is withdrawing its plans to set up investments here is the high degree and frequency of Graft and Corruption in the Philippine Government.

The U.S. Company even expressed its doubts about the assurance of President Noynoy Aquino to the Filipinos about stopping the graft and corruption in Government. The other critics of the President said that he always favors his friends, shooting buddies and former classmates which most of them became his Cabinet Members. This fact is also confirmed by various former supporters of the President who are now very dissatisfied with his performance in office and have now become his critics.

I think the Wynn Resorts should totally withdraw all its plans to invest in the country. It's not because of the graft and corruption that they should stop investing here, it's because casinos only promote immorality in the community. Surely it will provide hundreds or thousands of jobs for the Filipinos but it will also tear down the moral fiber of the public.

We all know that casinos promote gambling and other vices which they term as "entertainment and amusement" to make it sounds less offensive. Still it's indecent and immoral gambling no matter how you call it. That's why they call Las Vegas as the Sin City because the numerous casinos there promote gambling, prostitution, drugs, drinking, etc. Being legal is different from being moral, there are lots of things that are legal but it could be still immoral....like casinos.

There's nothing new about the extreme Graft and Corruption in our country which the Wynn Resorts is complaining about because ever since a man named Ferdinand E. Marcos became our President more than 40 years ago, every honesty, integrity and morality of  people working in Government went down the drain. Yes, it's Pres. Ferdinand E. Marcos who taught every living Filipino how to LIE, CHEAT and STEAL. He is the GREAT FATHER of all GRAFT and CORRUPTION in our country way back then and until now his LEGACY of WICKEDNESS lives on in our POLITICIANS.

Besides, a company like Wynn Resorts that promotes and encourages immoral form of  entertainment has no right to accuse anybody of immorality. An immoral person or company doesn't deserve to demand decency from anyone. Take a dose of your own medicine, dumb ass!

Brenda's Back Again!

A few days ago, Sen. Miriam Defensor-Santiago vowed not to attend the Impeachment Trial forever due to the stupidity and ignorance of her fellow Senators. She even missed a couple hearings to prove her point. Then all of a sudden, she's back in the Impeachment Trial and as usual she's shooting her mouth off at everyone.

Shame on me, I should have known all along. I forgot that she is 100% "Brenda" or brain damaged as she is more popularly called by her critics and maybe by her "friends" too. So to Sen. Miriam Defensor-Santiago, Welcome back Madam Brenda! :)

A Song for Corona?

Militant groups urged the Supreme Court Chief Justice Renato Corona to resign his post yesterday by serenading him with "love songs" which the group modified the lyrics to deliver the right message. But it's doubtful if the Chief Thief would ever consider resigning his post unless he's sure that he will lose the trial and go to jail. I'll bet you my last peso, when the trial turns for the worse and conviction is imminent, the Chief Thief will resign or strike a deal or plea bargain or something to get off the hook.

I admire these militant groups although they may not be right all the time; at least they keep the scumbags in government aware that some members of society are always watching over them. One false move from these scumbags and these radical units will pounce on their butts. Thank God for these cluster in society for without them these crocodiles and vultures in Government will bite, eat and swallow everything and anything that they can lay their hands on.

Php400M Seized by Customs.

More than Php400 Million worth of fake medicines, bags, watches and cell phone accessories were seized by Customs Authorities yesterday. The contraband were loaded in a couple of 40ft. containers vans awaiting release at the pier. Customs Commissioner Ruffy Biazon himself led the inspection of the assorted smuggled goods along with members of the media.

I guess after all that embarrassment given by the gun-toting, sports car driving customs clerk a few weeks ago the Customs Chief had to make a good impression on the public. The best way to do that is of course, catch some contraband and present that to the media. That way, Commissioner Ruffy Biazon can get himself reelected next year as Congressman or maybe as a Senator or whatever post that he may desire.

It would have been a perfect score for the Bureau of Customs except they always fail to catch the smugglers. They do seize the contraband but it gets resold after a few months if nobody shows up to claim it. You know why? Because the smuggler would rather wait for his goods to be auctioned off by the Bureau rather than pay the legal duties. That way he gets a huge discount on taxes but lots of profit when he sells the goods to the market. As for the Customs Officials? They get lots of grease money too along the way. How else could they afford to own a Porsche?

2 Honest Soldiers.

A few weeks ago, two honest Filipino soldiers helping the quake victims in Negros Oriental  dug up by accident Php90,000 (US$2,093) in cash on the landslide area. It was quickly returned to the the wife of the owner, a businessman who's still missing in the slide area. The wife of the missing victim was happy and grateful to the two soldiers after giving back the money but she was also saddened that the body of her husband may never be recovered.

It's good that these young soldiers were not tempted to pocket the money for themselves. Another classic example of ordinary Filipinos still being honest and decent despite our immoral leaders in society. Why do I always mention the disparity between ordinary Filipinos and the leaders of this nation? To show all of you that in spite of the bad standard being given by the leaders whom we are supposed to look up to and imitate, the ordinary Filipino folk refuses to mimic them and are still trustworthy and honorable.

Let's hope pray that these upright and law-abiding citizens will remain the same even after being exposed to the bad pattern set by our leaders. We all know that these misfits and scumbags in our society have a very, very contagious disease, a disease called greediness.

Pinoy Flash wins Bout.

Filipino boxer Nonito Donaire won his bout against his Mexican opponent a few weeks ago. It wasn't surprising since the "Filipino Flash" as he is fondly called is really good at his boxing skills. He's probably going to be the next Filipino boxing hero after Manny Pacquiao retires. You can count on that.

Donaire already holds 4 titles in 4 different weight divisions, a sure sign that this guy is no fluke. He's fast, strong, determined and a tough guy on the ring. Outside the ring this guy's a soft spoken person, funny and down to Earth. Let's hope that he stays that way, he should stay away from all those Politicians and other high society persons because they will just use him for their own gains. Yeah, most of these politicians are vampires and vermin, you know what I mean.

Like what these politicians are doing with now with Manny Pacquiao but I guess when you're on top, everybody wants to kiss your ass and when your luck finally runs out and you become poor...nobody wants to have anything to do with you anymore. They avoid you like the plague of as if you're a leper or something. These days, one has to be careful with whom you choose as friends and acquaintances because most people are only after your fame and fortune. They're always by your side during the good times but when the bad times come.....you'll find yourself all alone.....

So to Nonito "The Filipino Flash" Donaire, Congratulations Kabayan! (countrymen) You make the Philippines and your fellow Filipinos proud. God Bless and more power to you!

Search and Retrieval Operations Stopped.

The Search and recovery Operations of buried landslide victims caused by the quake in Negros Oriental has been stopped about a week ago by Government Authorities. Although 39 more victims are still not recovered, the decision to halt operations was due to the bad weather conditions in the area. The impossibility of finding anymore victims due to the massive amount of soil and mud that buried them also prompted the authorities to stop the search.

The locals were heartbroken at the decision but they had to face the reality that finding their buried loved ones is truly impossible. Though the locals vowed to continue searching for their missing relatives the Government had to pull out the Search and Recovery Teams and promised the residents that the local administration will construct a marker to honor the dead and the missing.

We all know the pain and sorrow that these people are feeling, each one of us have lost a loved one at least once in our lifetime but the Government is right in pulling out the search teams. Many areas that were also damaged by the quake also need the help of those teams. The soldiers and volunteers also need all the rest that they can get before they are again deployed to assist in the rebuilding of the damaged areas.

It's the harsh actuality of life but we must move on and try our best to live our lives again. I extend my condolences to all the bereaved families. May God help us all in these difficult and trying times......

Crime Does Pay!!!

Now who said crime does not pay? I guess that's a wrong and useless quote nowadays. Why? Well, the London Court just ruled that deceased Rep. Iggy Arroyo's concubine Grace Ibuna has all the right to his corpse and that she gets all his money according to his last will and testament. No wonder Grace the concubine is smiling from ear to ear, hell, she got all money for herself!

And all this time I believed that saying that crime does not pay, apparently crime does pay and it pays a lot! Millions and millions just like the way our political leaders lie, cheat and steal their way to richness and take it all to the bank. Damn, you obey the law and you get nothing in return except crap for all your troubles. Disobey the law and get all the profit that you'll ever need in your lifetime.

I'm just wondering why all evil doers seem to win all the time. Are we still on Earth or are we really all in hell now?

San Beda Law Students killed Neophyte!

Yup, it's confirmed. The dead law student brought and left at the Antipolo City hospital is a freshman from San Beda College in Manila. The youngman's name is Marvin Reglos from Isabela, police discovered the kid's indentity through his  facebook account and they found pictures which helped them identify his remains. Damn, good thing these coppers are facebook fans too otherwise it will  take them ages before they could get that necessary information about the victim!

Marvin Reglos' father according to news reports, is a farmer in Isabela and his mother is a domestic helper in Korea. Simple, hard-working, honest and God-fearing folks who happen to have a bright young kid who wanted to be a lawyer someday. Nothing wrong with being a lawyer especially if your a good Human Rights Lawyer defending the poor and the innocent.

I guess what went wrong was the act of joining the San Beda Law Fraternity that destroyed the dreams of this kid and his family. The boy probably thought joining the frat was the best for his future career, you get all the help and support from your fellow frat members and during the BAR Exams you get all the encouragement, support and assistance you'll ever need. Then if you pass the BAR you'll get all the required connections to work in the best law firms in the country. All true and correct except.....

They didn't fully and clearly explained to the kid that they will have to beat the shit out him before he can be a part of their dumb ass fraternity. They didn't completely make it clear that he would be subjected to the most inhuman punishment that can be imagined by anyone. That he could die during the hazing rights. Yup, that's why I never joined any fraternity when I was in college because I have no use for that "Brotherhood" crap that they always brag about. Besides, I'll never let anybody beat me up without me kicking his dumb ass back! Who needs a "brother" who would beat the hell out of you then abandon you in a hospital when you're dying? That's not a good brother dude, that's a useless piece of shit just pretending to be your brother!

Black Sand???

A lot of illegal mining is happening in many parts of the Philippines recently. The Department of Environment  and Natural Resources (DENR) have a hard time stopping these illicit miners from destroying the environment. It seems that these miners are unafraid of the authorities and are somehow protected by powerful individuals.

Two cases in point are in Eastern Samar and in Lingayen, Pangasinan where illegal mining of "black sand" is rampant. The term "black sand" turns out to be a brownish-black mineral called chromite - a mineral ore consisting of an oxide of iron and chromium. This mineral ore is believed to be used in manufacturing black powder for firearm ammunition among other things.

As it later turns out, most of the illegal mining activities were owned and protected by.....the Provincial Governors themselves that is why the DENR and the local police are unable to stop the illicit activities. No wonder our country is going down the sewers, its because most if not all of our leaders are pure filth! Damn, won't they ever stop their wicked ways?

Better Start Them Young.....

Two law school students were arrested in Antipolo City yesterday in connection with the death of a fellow law student. The dead student was rushed by unidentified group of young men to a nearby hospital but was later pronounced dead by doctors. The victim was believed to have died from injuries inflicted during hazing rites. The dead body bore multiple abrasions and contusions all over and was literally "black and blue" from heavy and repeated beatings.

The group of students hurriedly left the hospital premises after bringing the victim to the emergency room but the hospital personnel wrote down their car license plates and are now being tracked by the police. The 2 law students that were later arrested were asking about the dead victim's condition when the police arrived and questioned their relationship with the fatality. The police arrested them when they refused to answer and found in their possession was a cell phone with text messages urging every member of the fraternity to be quiet and to say nothing about the incident. Good thing that these neophytes are still stupid in covering up their tracks, huh?

Police authorities are now looking into the victim's identity as well as the other suspects and the name of the fraternity for the immediate filing of murder raps. in the Philippines, deaths due to fraternity hazing are common. Most of the fraternities and students involved in hazing murders belong to the Law Schools of the most famous and elite colleges and universities. No wonder why most of our Lawmakers and Political Leaders end up as scumbags....they have been trained early in life to be felons ever since they were still in law school. I guess they literally adhere to the quote: Better start teaching them while they're still young. Yeah, young criminals develop to professional scumbags in society later on. What a bunch of scumbags in the making!

New Boss, New Deal...

A contractor/supplier who won a Government bidding to supply the Bureau of Fire Protection 4,000 fire helmets, fire suits, gloves, boots, etc. is complaining to the media that the new Fire Chief has cancelled the contract. The private contractor said the Php240Million contract was awarded to their company after winning in the Government bidding but it was suddenly put on hold by the newly appointed Fire Bureau Chief.

News reporters asked the new Bureau Chief about the reasons why the contract was cancelled and he said it was under review to prevent any anomalies or irregularities. The contractor is crying foul as she said her company won the bid legally and therefore they have the right to supply the much needed firefighting equipment immediately.

The fire department of this country is in bad, bad shape, most towns don't have fire trucks and most of the firemen don't have the proper equipment to fight fires. It would be a great help if they are given better and improved gear to use. So why did the New Fire Chief annul the contract despite the urgent need and importance of the fire fighting paraphernalia? It's really simple. It could be true that he's only reviewing the contract to prevent any unlawful acts or to prevent substandard equipment from being delivered or.....

He wants to cancel the old contract so another bidding would take place. Why does he want to have a new bidding for the new equipment? So new bidders would give him grease money and probably provide him with percentage or commission in the Php240Million deal. In the Philippines, you don't win Government Contracts or bidding's by being honest or by giving the lowest price. You get contracts because you gave lots of grease money to the right hands and because you assured the right people that they will get more money after the contract is paid.

The new Fire Bureau Chief is just implementing the standard Operating Procedure (SOP) in the Philippine Government. It's really a very simple procedure: Give me lots of money so I get rich and happy and you get your contract signed and approved. That's the bottom line, dudes!

Honorable Person???

A Representative of this country wanted to enact a law that will prohibit any film, story or TV show that will portray any Solon as a crook or a lawbreaker. The author of the bill whose name I can't recall, wants to keep the image of all Congressmen to be respected and unsoiled to the public eye. This Lawmaker wants the public to envision them as honest, honorable and morally upright leaders of the land.

What the hell! Is this guy shooting up pure heroin into his jugular veins? Where on Earth can you find honest, decent and trustworthy politicians? This scumbag is so high he thinks he's a "god" or a "saint" or whatever he wants to be? We all know that 99.999% of all political leaders and government heads and personnel are corrupt, crooked and immoral in this country or probably in almost all countries. And he wants to portray in mass media that politicians are honorable?

This is one crazy, brazen and shameless scumbag! Wow! Another conceited politician who thinks he's a hero but in reality he's nothing more than thief and a legend in his own mind. Some of the most thick-faced, thick-skinned, ugliest creatures are only found in our Government Institutions. It makes me want to puke my guts out....Yuk!!!

Electric In, Diesel Out!

Makati City is mulling over the phasing out of diesel powered jeepneys in its streets and is opting to replace them with E-jeepneys or Electronically/Battery powered jeeps for public transport. It's bad news for the jeepney operators but its good news for Mother Nature and for the Environmentalists.

Metro Manila is considered as on of the worst polluted cities in the world, no thanks to the thousands of diesel powered jeepneys and buses which use Japanese surplus engines. The result is higher pollution and more destructive effects on the environment and on the health of the public.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not blaming the public transport sector on solely polluting our environment but it's the use of surplus engines that caused the deterioration of the air quality in the Metro. The operators prefer using surplus engines since it's a lot more cheaper and affordable and we all know that our country is a developing nation for the last, 40 years or more. No thanks to our corrupt leaders and officials, we never made it as a technologically advanced nation and probably never will....

I believe that the Government is finally doing something right to solve our problem on pollution and to combat the extreme prices of fossil fuel. E-jeepneys are more practical to use in the near future since it emits less or zero pollution, less noisy and hopefully, the fare is cheaper too. It's doubtful if the Government can git rid of the old diesel powered jeeps and buses without much resistance from the operators. Filipinos love to go on rallies on the smallest problems so expect huge daily protests when the phase out begins.

But it has to be done, for our environment and for our health. Humans are naturally stubborn in accepting sudden changes in their lives but once we realize that it's for the best, we eventually embrace the transformation. Remember, it's less than a 100 years ago when we used horses and carriages as our primary means of transportation, now we're using jumbo jets and space shuttles.

Filipina Murdered in France.

A Filipina businesswoman was stabbed several times and her throat was slit by an attacker in Paris, France. The incident happened right outside her Travel Agency office. A man, suspected to be the murderer was arrested by the French police. Reports are still sketchy as to the identity of the killer if he was a Filipino or of a different nationality.

The Filipino community in Paris immediately condemned the murder and offered flowers and condolences to the family of the victim. The fatality was a permanent resident in France and is a French citizen but the Philippine Department of Foreign Affairs expressed its readiness to help the surviving family members if they want to bring the body back to the Philippines.

It's always a sad story to see fellow Filipinos getting hurt or murdered here or in abroad. But it just shows that no place in the world is 100% safe for anybody. Sure we have more crimes here in the Philippines due to our inefficient Police force but it is also happening abroad. We simply cannot predict what people with criminal minds are planning to do to their potential victims.....My condolences to the family of the victim....

"Hurricane" Steers Clear of Argentina?

Filipina boxer Ana "the Hurricane" Julaton is scheduled to fight in Argentina next month but her camp is thinking twice after that incident where another Filipino boxer was mauled in the ring after defeating a local boxer. This Pinay boxer is one tough cookie but as I've said before, nobody would like to go to Argentina and fight after what happened to Pinoy Champ Jonhriel Casimero.

I wouldn't blame the camp of Ana Julaton if they decide to pull back on that fight in Argentina. Not with all those crazy Argentineans wanting to take a piece of you when their homeboy losses the fight. I think it would be better if they move the boxing match here in the Philippines, let's show these Argentineans how Filipinos welcome foreigners and even boxing opponents. We're all responsible adults and sensible boxing fans so they have nothing to fear coming here in our country. But they have to prepare because they will surely lose to our world class boxers.

So what can you say to that Argentineans? Are your boxers willing to fight here in our country? Then let's get ready to rumble!!! :)

Show Me Yours and I'll Show You Mine???

Supreme Court Chief Justice Renato Corona challenged Pres. Noynoy Aquino the other day to also reveal his bank account records and to present his psychological history in public. This was in line with the accusations of the President that the Chief Justice should prove to the Filipino people if he is really innocent by granting the Impeachment Court the authority to open his secret bank accounts.

Okay, so a Thief is asking a fellow Thief to show how many loot has he got? Then adds more challenge by asking the guy to show proof that he's also been inside a loony bin? Wow! Are they both loonier than the looniest guy on Earth? Who's going to admit in public that he stole money from the people and then fess up that he spent some time in the mental hospital?

Sometimes the so called great leaders of society stoop so low just to protect themselves that they end up acting like retards. They keep on pointing theirs fingers at each other, exchanging accusations and bad mouthing one another. Some leaders we have huh? Do you still think they should lead our nation? Or should they all spend the rest of their greedy lives inside the Mental Hospital?

PHIVOLCS: More Landslides!!!

The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology or (PHIVOLCS) recently warned of more landslides in the areas affected by the 6.9 quake in the Negros Oriental Region. This is due to the heavy rains brought about by the Low Pressure Area affecting the quake damaged region. Scientists said that the huge cracks, fissures and fractures caused by the quake along the mountainous areas could go tumbling down at any moment due to being saturated by rainfall.

The scientists urged the local government to evacuate those people living near the danger zones for fear of another massive landslides which could easily bury a lot of victims. The PHIVOLCS even suggested the permanent relocation of the residents to safer grounds since the threat of landslides will always be a serious hazard.

Local authorities expressed their agreement but are uncertain if they can permanently relocate the local residents to a safer place. Most of the residents are not willing to abandon their homes and their property even if their lives are in danger. The local government cannot also provide them with a decent and safe place to permanently settle down without more preparation and funding. So the residents eventually move back to their old community when the rainy season is over. I guess it shows the true meaning of the saying, Home Sweet Home.

Argentinean Boxer Banned Forever!

Argentinean boxer Luis Lazarte is now banned permanently by the International Boxing Federation (IBF) from fighting in the ring. This decision stemmed from the incident wherein the Filipino boxer Johnriel Casimero who won the bout against the Argentinean pug was mauled immediately when the referee stopped the bout in favor of the Pinoy boxer.

Bottles, chairs and a lot more debris were thrown into the ring and even the fans of the defeated Argentinean boxer climbed up the ring and started punching the Filipino boxer and his corner men. It was a complete chaos on top of the ring and the Filipino boxer and his companions were lucky to have survived the mob. Most of the rioters turned out to be fans, friends and fellow truck drivers of the Argentinean boxer, who is also a truck driver.

The IBF made an excellent decision when it banned Lazarte permanently from fighting. It should serve as a stern warning against those athletes that don't respect the rules of the sport. It should also caution those overzealous fans from going apeshit and beating up the winning athlete. That should teach those hard headed Argentineans a good lesson on sportsmanship.

Teacher Murdered in a Muddy Rice Field.

A 37 year old school teacher was stabbed more than 20 times in a rice field in Victoria, Laguna. Passersby found her dead body early in the morning and immediately reported it to the police. Investigators say it could be a case of robbery and murder since relatives of the victim said the teacher was carrying Php10,000 (US$233) with her and it was now missing.

Further investigations by the police lead them to suspect the tricycle driver which the teacher rode on her way home late that night. Their suspicions were further boosted when they recovered a slipper, believed to belong to the culprit under the dead boby of the the schoolteacher. A manhunt is now in progress for he immediate arrest of the murderer.

A lot of robbery-murder cases have been going on lately. it seems that these public utility drivers are a bunch of thieving and murdering scumbags. Some of their victims are even raped before they are killed by these tricycle drivers plying the streets at night. The cops should be more vigilant in conducting patrols at night when most of the criminal elements are active and ready to pounce on their hapless victims. But then again, these cops are a bunch of lazy guys so they'd rather sleep and relax rather than patrol the dark, dangerous and cold streets at night.

Long Wait for NBI Clearance.

A lot of complaints have been aired by concerned citizens about the time-consuming process of acquiring a National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) Clearance. Applicants have to go to the NBI offices as early as 11pm just to fall in line so that they could file their applications the next office day. It's like having to camp out at the surrounding area of every NBI office in the country; huge numbers of people are sleeping at the sidewalks just to secure a spot at the office the next day.

Is this the result of the computerization process of the Bureau? If it is then it's a lot, lot worse than the old method many years back. In those days an applicant can get his or her NBI Clearance in less than half a day without having to fall in line at the wee hours of the night or at the early hours of the morning. Many applicants are fed up at the stupidity of our Government Agencies  which instead of improving their services seems to be going back to the Stone Age.

A lot of these applicants are ordinary workers who have to get get the clearance to show their employers that they have no criminal records. Most of the Overseas Filipino Workers also have to get the said clearance before they can apply or renew their passports. So you can just imagine what great delay and setbacks that the NBI Clearance lag is doing to these people.

In these modern times where everything is moving forward at a fast pace, our Government Agencies are moving backwards at at incredible speed. I wonder who pocketed that yearly budget that is supposed to modernize the Bureau. And they have the nerve to call themselves the "top agency" when it comes to investigating crimes when they can't even issue clearances on time. Morons!!!

Toy Drive for Quake Victims.

A 7-year old American girl leads a toy drive in You Tube for the quake victims in Negros Oriental. The kid is currently staying in the Philippines because of the film making of the Bourne Legacy flick. Her mom happens to be one of the film personnel in the Hollywood action movie.

The toy drive seems to be getting a lot of response as many donations have been pouring in from all over the world; some local donations are even given directly at the hotel where the little girl is staying. It's a brilliant idea to give toys to the quake devastated children in Negros Oriental. Most of those kids are from poor families and receiving toys from all over the world would really make them feel a lot better.

It's nice to know that most kids around the world are still pure , innocent and kind despite our modern, violent and often times uncaring society. Kids are free from racism, hatred and prejudice. A trait that we adults often lack. Yet we pride ourselves as being "mature" people when in truth we pale in comparison to these youngsters.

I hope that all adults would think more of how we can help others without anything in return just like this beautiful, kind, compassionate girl. But I guess the older humans get, the more we rationalize everything that we do and we usually end up with the wrong and selfish decisions. Good  luck kiddo on your toy drive! May God bless this little girl and all the innocent children in this world.

Shot in both Eyes.....

A Filipina Real Estate Broker was found dead in a vacant lot in Taytay, Rizal. She was shot in both eyes and Police authorities suspect of a bad grudge between the killers and the victim. The victims' jewelries and valuable personal belongings were intact and this further made the cops suspect that the crime was well planned by the suspects and the motive was to get revenge.

The victims' acquaintances said she was last seen talking to 2 Canadian nationals asking about real estate properties before her murder. Investigators are now on the search for these 2 foreigners before they can leave the country.

Shot in both eyes, damn! That's a bad way to go. It's like a scene from a mob movie. This woman probably screwed somebody in a multi-million peso real estate deal or something to be killed in such a horrific manner. I hope the cops find her killers so they would go to jail for their crimes. This incident should also serve as a warning to crooked businessmen out there, they better start mending their wicked ways. Unless they want to also end up being shot in the crotch or something. Ouch!!!

Too much Water!!!

Large parts of Leyte in the Visayas Region and Albay in the Bicol Region are flooded due to heavy rains brought about by a Low Pressure Area. Waist high flood waters welcomed residents in low lying areas and it's not even the start of the rainy season. Even the Evacuation Centers were flooded so the affected residents had no use going there.

The residents said the flood waters mostly came from the mountains and it quickly filled up rivers and other tributaries and overflowed to the nearby communities. Environmentalists were quick to blame the rampant illegal logging and the destruction of the forests as well as the siltation of various rivers from quarrying and clogging due to careless dumping of garbage.

The bad things that are happening now are really our fault. We cut, burn, waste and dump everything and everywhere and when it comes back to us, all we do is complain. We only get what we deserve so let's stop complaining and let's start doing things right. It is our environment so we better take care of it before it's too late....

A Thief and A Magician!!!

The Supreme Court Chief Justice Renato Corona was reported to have cleared 3 of his alleged bank accounts on the day the Impeachment Trial started. The alleged 3 bank accounts at the PS Bank amounted to Php8Million, Php7Million and Php18Million respectively before the trial but now.....nada, nien, nichts, niente. It now contains zero funds.

Abracadabra! It's all gone! Now, all those that doubted my earlier observations and conclusions about our country's LYING, CHEATING and STEALING Political Leaders and Government Officials would hopefully, finally see me eye to eye. Not only that, folks will probably agree that these scumbags in Government are also great magicians in concealing and in making their ill-gotten wealth go poof! Making it suddenly vanish into thin air!

I told you these fiends, monsters and ghouls in government have perfected the art of GRAFT AND CORRUPTION. It's what they live, breath and thrive on every single moment of their lives. Yup, got that right, they're 110% bloodsuckers!

A Pervert Priest!!!

A Filipino pervert priest was released from a U.S. prison a few days ago after serving 10 years in jail for molesting a 12 year old girl. Fr. Jose Superiaso a Parish Priest then in Daly City, California was having sexual relations with a young woman in his parish when the woman discovered that the priest was also molesting her little sister. The older sibling immediately reported the sex fiend priest to the police authorities and was consequently arrested, tried and convicted in 2005.

The pervert priest is set to be deported by U.S. Authorities here in the country in a few days and is facing a series of investigation from the Catholic Church here in the Philippines. It is expected that this scumbag priest will lose his priesthood as a consequence of his evil deeds. In my opinion, he should have been stripped of his priesthood after being found guilty and convicted in the U.S. courts 10 years ago.

I hope this sex fiend paid dearly for his evil acts after spending 10 years in prison. I wish the other inmates took turns raping him many times a day during the 10 years of he was in jail. He didn't only violate his oath to God and to the Catholic Church; he also violated and abused a 12 year old girl. That girl is probably scarred mentally and physically for life after what that monster priest did to her.

It just proves that even in Church or with the clergy, no one is safe from sex offenders. I hope this freak paid dearly for his sins while he was in prison. What a scumbag!!!!

Lepers on the Rise?

The World Health Organization (WHO) recently expressed its alarm over the rising leprosy cases here in the Philippines. Leprosy or locally called  "ketong" is a tropical disease mainly affecting the skin and nerves that can cause tissue change and in severe cases , loss of sensation and disfigurement of the victim.Leprosy is transmitted following close contact with an infected person and has an incubation period of 1-30 years. Although it is a serious disease it can now be cured if treated with a combination of drugs.

The Department of Health of this country (they should have named it Department of Death if you ask me) admitted that it had neglected (as usual) the treatment of leprosy for many years now and vowed to prevent its spread. Yeah, sure. The Government is always quick to say this every time an international agency calls their attention on something. What have these Government Agencies been doing all these years? Just sitting on their asses and using up their yearly budget on useless things and for their personal benefits!

Everything here is being neglected by the Government, except their deep pockets. Tuberculosis cases and fatalities are on the rise among poor folks; malnutrition and other affliction are not being monitored and treated. Despite the billions of pesos worth of budget allocated to these agencies every year, Filipinos are still sick and dying of these common and curable illnesses. Why? Because these Government Agencies and Personnel always misuse the funds intended for the poor folks.

Most of the funds are used to construct buildings, offices and in buying service vehicles of the personnel but every time the sick people go to these Government Hospitals, treatment or medicines are not available. We have lots of newly made public hospitals but it's useless because there are no medications or doctors for the sick people. The Politicians and the Government Heads make more money on constructing new buildings than in serving the citizenry. Their deep pockets come first and the welfare of the public comes last.

It's simple GRAFT AND CORRUPTION at work, that's the bottom line why thousands or millions of poor Filipinos are still suffering from antiquated diseases which are easily treatable with modern and cheap medicines. These government personnel and doctors who swore an oath to help cure the community but end up stealing the funds for their own benefits, they have no shame or conscience. May they all burn in hell!

Want to buy my Organ?

This is an old story but it is still happening in the Philippines with alarming frequency. Poor Filipinos selling their kidneys to rich people who need a new organ when their own have stopped functioning. Kidneys are priced at about Php120,000 or more but the "donor" won't get the full amount because the middleman has to deduct his agent's fee. Yes, desperate folks here end up selling their organs to foreigners or to rich locals just to make ends meet. It's illegal but a lot of despairing people are doing it.

The Government said it's doing its best to stop the unscrupulous practice but that's not really true. Even if the alleged donor won't admit that his really selling his kidney and not donating it to the patient it is very easily noticed by the doctors performing the transplant since no dumb guy is willing to have his gut opened up just so he could give his kidney to a complete stranger. But most of the doctors and authorities are willing to look the other  way. Why? It's the money dude; it's always about the money. Organ transplants are not cheap and the doctors get paid well hence, they keep their mouth shut.

So it's not just the "donor" who's making money, the doctors and the middlemen are the ones greatly benefiting  by these illegal acts. The recipients are also rewarded a longer lease on life but when their time finally runs out, the question is, will they pay for their sins? What about the doctors, will they pay for their sins too or they can weasel their way out by saying that they were trying to help a patient? And the "donor", will he pay for his immorality too?

Money, money, money. I always find myself saying this so often. Everybody just can't resist the temptation of money. Rich man, poor man, we're all addicted to money....What have we all become?  May God help us all......

Senators Irked at Pinoy Boxer's mauling.

A couple of Senators were displeased at the mauling incident involving a Filipino boxer in Argentina a few days ago. Sen. Vicente Sotto III said that the the Argentinean Ambassador in the Philippines should be called and made to explain why such an event happened and to be sent home if needed. Sen. Juan Ponce Enrile even wants to recall the Philippine Ambassador in Argentina to show how much the Senate is displeased with such an offense made against a Filipino citizen.

I concur with the two Senators want to carry out. Filipinos should be treated equally and evenly wherever they may be, abroad or in their own country. We shouldn't be treated as an inferior race just because we have darker skin color. Filipinos should not be maltreated because our country is poor. We should be given equal rights and respect just like what we give foreigners here in our country.

Sen. Sotto even made a joke that he is challenging the President of Argentina into a fistfight but later passed it to Sn. Lito "Leon Guerrero" Lapid who was a former action star. Everything was almost perfect except for that Sen. Sotto's joke which fell flat, maybe he's losing his talent as a comedian these days. You see , he was once a comedian and a slap-stick actor with his younger brother and one of their close friends in their younger days. Like a local version of the 3 Stooges during his younger years, I really liked watching him then. He's a funny guy way back then unlike now.....

As I've said before, we lots of actors and famous people in the Political Sector of our country. It seems that the Filipino's first criterion in choosing whom to vote is a candidates "POPULARITY" instead of his their qualifications. That's why our country is really screwed up by these politicians and leaders in Government.

It's a good thing though that Sen. Sotto grew a beard, very similar to that of U.S. Pres. Abraham Lincoln, perfect timing for the Impeachment Trial. It really makes him look like a.....COMEDIAN  and not as an intelligent man that he wants to portray. Now, that really made me laugh till my belly hurt. "Pres. Abe Lincoln" is alive and well and is a Senator in the Philippines! Lol. Barf....

Huge Crocs Galore!!!

Two large crocodiles caught in Bataraza, Palawan. The reptiles measured at least 16 feet each and were big, mean, ugly and scary. A huge 21 footer crocodile named by locals as "Lolong" was caught last year in Agusan Del Sur Province in Mindanao. Guinness World Record representatives confirmed it was the largest croc ever caught alive. Local townsfolk said crocodile sightings and attacks on humans are now becoming frequent. Experts say this is because people are rapidly encroaching on the large carnivorous reptiles' natural habitat.

Well , at least these prehistoric reptiles are only protecting their domain. These primeval creatures never attack if unprovoked or undisturbed in their natural habitat. So it's actually us humans who's at fault if we attacked by these creatures. You take their home they'll take your life and limb, sounds fair to me. :)

We have lots of crocodiles here in the Philippines. One doesn't have to go to the most remote jungles or marshlands to find them. You don't even have to go to the zoo to look for them. Do you want to know where they frequently hang out to look for unlimited sustenance? Just go the Congress, Senate, Supreme Court or to any Government Offices for that matter. There you will find 2 legged "crocodiles" roaming around in search for "food". The only difference is these "crocs" are never satisfied unlike their namesakes in the wild which after having a good meal, the crocs hibernate for a few days or weeks.

Shaken and then Flooded....

Quake stricken Negros Oriental is flooded due to heavy rains brought about by a Low Pressure Area. Barely a week has passed after the 6.9 quake that brought damage to various infrastructures and killed more than 40 people and now this awful weather. Mother Nature is really challenging the courage and determination of the Visayan folk.

Most of the residents  who are already tired, hungry and restless due to continuous aftershocks and lack of basic needs are up again all night. This time they were trying their best to be alert if flood waters became too high for their safety. Some have eventually evacuated to safer grounds to avoid the rising flood waters.

But where can they find a safer place? If they go up to higher ground, the peril of landslides hangs over their heads but to stay at lower elevation means being flooded. Sometimes Mother Nature is a pain in the ass but I guess she's just giving us what we deserve. We did abuse her so much by cutting down trees, polluting our environment and wasting our natural resources. Maybe Mother Nature is just whipping our butts for being such a wayward brood.....

Which is Worse? A Moron or A Hypocrite?

Sen. Jinggoy Estrada was angry at the defense lawyer team of Chief Justice Renato Corona for revealing in in their press conference that a Presidents' aide allegedly tried to bribe a couple of Senator-Judges in the Impeachment Trial. The actor turned Senator (we have lot of them here in the Philippines) challenged the defense team to name or expose their source or informant so the Senator can face him and punish him because of such allegations made against the Senate.

Another member of the Senate, Sen. Panfilo Lacson also expressed his offense at the defense lawyers. He said the defense team made it appear that the Senate can be easily bought and bribed. He openly displayed his disgust and dismay at the allegations made by the defense team.

I agree with the two Senator-Judges that they can never be bought or bribed by anybody. Why? It's not because they are honest, decent and of good moral fiber. They can't be bought because they already have all the wealth and power that they can possibly bite, chew and swallow. They have already millions or billions of money in secret bank accounts so who can still afford their price? They've already stolen so much from the Filipino people so nobody can really afford to bribe them, they got that right!

I can't help to say this though. Sen. Jinggoy Estrada is a Moron. I mean, who would reveal their sources in the first place? Once you did that then nobody would tell you anything important, dude! And his favorite line, "Be man enough?" Wow! That's a used and abused dialogue in his action films! Just another dumb ass actor pretending to be a smart ass politician. Hahaha!

And for Sen. Lacson, you're nothing but a Hypocrite. You said you felt insulted when they said the Senate can be bribed? Are you kidding? Of course everybody in Government can be bought and bribed, it's what you guys live for. Money, money, money! It's just too high now so nobody can afford your asking price.

So there you go, we got a MORON and a HYPOCRITE in he Senate and a lot, lot more....just wait and see....they will reveal themselves slowly but surely....you can count on that!

Not Enough Food....

A lot of the quake victims in Negros Oriental are complaining that relief goods are not reaching them. Long lines are common in the relief distribution centers, hours and hours of waiting is also a norm and inadequate relief supplies are also standard. Most of the quake victims haven't eaten for a few days now and they are getting rowdy and impatient. So what's causing the delay and shortage of relief supplies?

Damaged roads are one reason why the supply of relief goods are delayed and in shortage. Bad weather conditions and the sheer number of people affected by the quake is also another. The remoteness of some of the areas affected also contributes to the difficulty of delivering the much needed supplies.

But let's not forget the usual method of local leaders in choosing whom to give relief aid. You see even if the National Government sends lots of relief goods to a calamity stricken area, it's the Local Government units there that are contacted to efficiently distribute the supplies. Technically speaking it's the right move because who else can know better but those from the locality. Like the Barangay Captains (neighborhood or sector leaders), Mayors, Governors, etc. they are the ones who can tell which area is the most affected.

It's also where the problems start because these local leaders have areas that favored them during the past elections and places that also didn't vote for them. So the places that voted them get more help whereas the places that gave them nothing during the elections will get zip. It's just the way how politics works in the Philippines.

That's the real reason why relief goods sometimes don't provide relief to those who need it most. It's politics all over again. Plain and simple politics......nothing more, nothing less.

Lost of Biscuits Coming Soon!!!

The United Nation Food Aid Program is sending 2 tons of high-energy biscuits as nourishment assistance to the quake victims in the Visayas region. This is a great news to the people who are in desperate need of provisions, especially those who are in the remote and far-flung areas where relief goods cannot be easily delivered.

Its a good thing that the UN is now lending a helping hand to our devastated countrymen. Instead of begging our leaders for food, water and other basic needs the UN will give us the much needed relief, I hope without the begging part. It's  because in the Philippines before a typhoon, flood, volcanic eruption or quake victims receive much needed assistance from the Government, they have to beg their local officials. You have to kiss their asses first. If the local officials like the mayors or governors got high votes in your location, chances are you'll get relief goods but if they got low votes or lost in your area during the last elections, then you'll probably get nothing.

Sounds crazy? I know but it's the truth. Politicians here are geniuses when it comes to manipulating the people; they know exactly what to do. Like during calamities and state of emergencies, they use basic commodities that victims need to make themselves look good and to make their point that if you vote for them you will also get something in return. Smart move eh? Yup, brilliant move except that it's wicked and vile!

Just a word of advice to the UN Food Aid Program, please make sure that the 2-ton high energy biscuits that your giving would reach the real people who need them because our politicians are also very good magicians. Yes, better than David Blaine or David Copperfield. They can make those biscuits disappear and and up in the wrong places like in their warehouses or on the market to be sold and not in the hungry mouths of the poor quake victims. Abracadabra! Poof, and it's gone!

What the ....Another Impeachment Trial??!!

The defense lawyers of the Thief Justice of the country recently bared in a press conference about the alleged bribery attempts of President Noynoy Aquino to the Senator-Judges. The Defense Liars said Pres. Aquino sent one of his top aides to secretly meet with a few of the Senators to convince and bribe them with Php100Million each if they would vote to open the secret dollar accounts of the top Thief Magistrate of the country.

Okay, there's no surprise about that at all. These guys are a bunch of hoodlums so what do you expect them to be but lawbreakers, right? But to add to the perfect recipe of their hooligan's buffet of crimes and delinquency, the Thief Justice of the Supreme Court said that if these accusations are true and correct then the President may also be impeached for such an offense.

Whoa!!! What the ...! Another Impeachment Trial in the making? Are these Politicians, Leaders, fiends and ghouls of society have really lost their marbles for good? They've barely started this current Impeachment Trial, nobody's convicted and punished and yet another trial is being proposed? What a bunch of Government Asses do we have in this country!

They can do whatever they like because they are the "leaders" but the first thing they should do is to rename our country as "The Impeachment Republic" instead of the Republic of the Philippines because they are really messing up our nation. What a bunch of IDIOTS do we have as leaders, huh? A whole bunch of MORONS really!!!!

All Cracked Up?

Mount Kanlaon, an active volcano found in Negros Oriental showed cracks and fissures on its top after the 6.9 quake. Geologists and mountaineers  were bit bothered by these physical changes on the volcano and have temporarily suspended any climbing activities in the area. The unpredictable volcano's  last eruption was in 1996 and it resulted in the death of 3 mountaineers ascending it.

Scientists are still unsure if the quake may have triggered any activity deep inside the volcano and they are now conducting a series of tests to get more data. A nearby spring which was a regular source of drinking water for residents for many years have suddenly turned muddy after the quake which worried locals  but experts say i was a natural effect of the tremor.

The last thing the local population needs is a volcanic eruption after that 6.9 quake to mess up their lives again. The people have not yet fully recovered from it so they better hope and pray that Mt. Kanlaon stays asleep for at least a couple of years more.....

2 Honest Soldiers.

Two honest Filipino soldiers helping the quake victims in Negros Oriental dug up by accident Php90,000 (US$2,093) in cash on the landslide area. The soldiers were trying to dig up the remains of people buried under the landslide caused by the earthquake. The cash was quickly returned to wife of the owner, a businessman still missing and believed to be buried under the landslide. The wife of the missing victim was happy and grateful to the two soldiers but she was also saddened that the body of her husband was still yet to be recovered.

It's good that these young soldiers were not tempted to pocket the money for themselves. Another classic example of ordinary Filipinos still being honest and decent despite  our immoral leaders in society. Why do I always mention the disparity between ordinary Filipinos and the leaders of this nation? To show all of you that in spite of the bad examples being given by our leaders whom we are supposed to look up to, obey and imitate, the ordinary Filipino folk refuses to mimic their evil deeds and are still trustworthy and honorable.

Let's all hope and pray that these upright and law-abiding people will remain the same even after being exposed to the bad examples set by our leaders. We all know that these misfits and scumbags in our society have a very, very contagious disease, a disease called greediness or graft and corruption.

Pinoy Boxer gets Mauled.

Filipino boxer Johnriel Casimero gets mauled by fans after winning a bout in Argentina. It turns out that the Argentinians are sore losers and when their homegrown boxer got beat up by the Pinoy boxer, the locals suddenly went apeshit and started attacking the Filipino fighter and his corner men.

What the hell are these Argentinians thinking? Did they smoke too much loco weed? Maybe they thought they were still fighting the British in the Falkland's Islands all over again! Holy crap, these guys are a bunch of dumb asses! After that incident, foreign athletes will avoid their nation like a plague and that won't do them any good. Now everybody knows that their country is not a good venue for sports, unless of course you want to get your ass kicked after winning the match.

I thought Argentinians are good natured people. Now the whole world knows better, Argentinians are SORE LOSERS!!!!

A Legendary Singer Dies......

Legendary singer Whitney Houston was found dead in her hotel room in L.A. and it is still unclear if it was another suicide although no foul play was reported by the Police. Ms. Houston's death is a big loss to the whole world; we all know that no one can ever take her place. With her incredible voice, she will be dearly missed by millions of her fans.

I wish famous and extremely talented artists like her would try their best to go on living no matter what happens in their lives and careers. It doesn't really matter if your career slows down or takes a dive after many years of being on top. Loyal fans will always be there to idolize them; their true fans will always worship them no matter what. Just look at Elvis Presley, after all these decades millions of fans of all race and ages still love, worship and imitate him.

The whole world would miss Whitney Houston and even if newer singers with better talent may come, nobody can beat or replace the original Whitney......May she rest in peace.....

Picking Up the Pieces....

A week after the 6.9 quake that damaged most parts of Negros Oriental the community is slowly tying its best to start all over again. Most have started reopening their businesses despite the still damaged infrastructure; the roads that were destroyed were temporarily covered with gravel so that vehicles could pass through.

Some parts of the quake affected areas have electricity now and potable water is also being supplied by the Military from water purifying machines. Relief goods are also being delivered and distributed to the areas and communities that need them most. Although most of the residents still refuse to stay and sleep inside their homes  due to frequent aftershocks, theVisayans  are slowly but surely picking up the pieces.....and will soon start living normally again.

I guess the quick recovery is because of the resilient trait of the Filipino people. We were once compared to the bamboo, a giant grass which is very flexible and bendable. Almost impossible to be broken or snapped by strong gusts of air because it just goes along with the wind. But still, everything and anything has its limitations and the Filipinos are of no exemption. we are merely humans after all.

It's good to see that the Filipinos are still irrepressible, hardy and spirited people despite these difficult and challenging times in our lives. The never ending daily struggles of trying to  make ends meet due to the economic hardships that our countrymen have to endure. The flash floods, landslides, earthquakes, volcanic eruptions and typhoons that often come our way and take its toll both on human life and property. The abuses made by Government Officials who are mostly immoral and dishonest....

It's not easy being a Filipino these past decades....but witnessing the respectable character, decent, courteous and good moral fiber of honest ordinary folks....that's what makes me proud to be a Filipino!

The "Bayanihan Spirit" Lives On.....

The quake that hit Negros Oriental is indeed a grim disaster but it also rekindled the unique traditional Filipino character of helping each other in times of need. Thank God the "Bayanihan Spirit" is still alive and well in our country. Despite our uncaring, heartless and crooked leaders in Government, the majority of the ordinary townsfolk are still kind, gentle, helpful and compassionate.

Take for example the volunteers who helped carry the heavy loads of relief goods on theirs backs and shoulders across broken roads and bridges, across swollen rivers and slippery mountain trails just to give aid to fellow quake victims.

One of the stories reported by a news agency is how a simple man literally "adopted" 5 families by giving them free shelter to his home which was undamaged by the quake. He also shared his food and water to his not so lucky neighbors, asking and expecting nothing in return for his efforts and sacrifices.

Another story is how a woman who put up a small store (nothing much but a table and a few chairs really) beside a damaged bridge, selling her home cooked food and potable water to travelers who were weary from their arduous journey. She said she was trying her best to sell her home cooked meal at affordable prices knowing  that most of the travelers have little money to spend.

Yes, it's the simple, honest and ordinary folks that makes a nation strong, resilient and hard-wearing. It's the upright citizens who make a nation survive any disaster and not our corrupt political leaders. To all the good, decent and honorable Filipinos, "Mabuhay po tayong lahat!" (Long live!) As to all the corrupt officials? Good riddance! The cracked Earth should have swallowed them up!

Protecting Their Own Kind....

The latest news about the Impeachment Trial is the Temporary Restraining Order (TRO) issued by the Supreme Court in favor of the Chief Justice against the opening of his various Dollar Bank Accounts. A classic tale of protecting your own kind so it's not surprising to hear that news. The Magistrates of the Supreme Court  are just setting a rule so that in the near future they can also protect themselves from being scrutinized and investigated by any branch of the Government.

Yes sir, I bet if they are also investigated it wouldn't be shocking if they all have amassed great wealth. Because in our Government it is the standard set by our leaders, lawmakers, justices and politicians. To LIE, CHEAT and STEAL. That is their main mandate or purpose why they enter Politics or the Government service. Gone were the days when people enter politics or the government to serve the public honestly, dutifully and with integrity.

So all th people who want to get rich and powerful easily and illegally always dream and struggle in making it in Politics or serving in Government. You may agree or not agree with my observation but simply scrutinize your local Politician. Did he live up to his promises during the elections? Is he richer now and more arrogant than before he was elected? Is he still the same honest, decent and humble, (if he ever was in the first place) person whom you know in the past? Or has he turned into a "monster" and acts like a "god" after being elected?

Power, wealth and fame really can change a persons' character. So let us not be fooled by these politicians and leaders. It is the citizens who should be the masters of these leaders and not the other way around. They were elected by the majority of the people so that they would do what is the best for the populace. In case they've forgotten, we pay their salaries and it's our taxes that they are stealing. Filthy Scumbags!!!

Still Hurting.....

A few months after the devastating 9.0 earthquake that almost obliterated large parts of Japan, the damaged areas are still to be rehabilitated. Most of the people that survived the worst quake in the history of Japan are still in evacuation centers, many of them are Filipinas married to Japanese citizens.

For many months now they have survived on Japanese Government food aid since they cannot find a decent job in the area. Japan is also hit by the Global Economic Recession that is plaguing U.S. and Europe. Hence it is difficult to find employment and the nation cannot easily repair the destruction that the massive tremor and tsunami inflicted on their nation.

A lot of the affected areas are still uninhabited, predominantly the hard hit districts have been abandoned...some are considered as ghost towns due to the absence of people living there. Hundreds of damaged homes are still not repaired; hundreds of smashed cars are still piled to a heap alongside the highways. An out of this world sight, almost like a scene from a science fiction movie. Most of the residents died from the tsunami so it wouldn't be surprising if it were indeed a "ghost town" with real ghosts roaming around.

I hope the large quake that hit Japan would never happen here in the Philippines but local scientists are worried and have repeatedly reminded us that two major fault lines in the Marikina area have been dormant for more than 200 hundred years. 200 hundred years of storing incredible energy just waiting for the right moment to explode. A bad sign an a perfect recipe for real enormous disaster, just waiting to happen. There's nothing much that we can do really, except pray and hope for the best......

Panday: A Legend in His Own Mind.....

Rep.-Prosecutor Rodolfo Farinas jokingly referred to Sen.-Judge Ramon "Bong" Revilla in his statement during the Impeachment Trial as "magulo" or troublesome. The Congressman-Prosecutor was only giving an example that no one should be above the law, even if you are an elected officail or appointed, famous or not, rich or poor, the law should apply to all persons equally. He was in a playful mood when he mentioned Sen. Revilla as "troublesome" and it was just an example to make his point understood.

It was not meant to be taken seriously or literally but Sen. Revilla (who's an actor and portrayed a "Panday" or a "Blacksmitrh" character with a magical dagger in his films) felt insulted and disrespected by the Solon from Ilocos Norte.  Rep. Farinas immediately apologized for his statements the very next day. The Senator said he was slighted when the Rep. called him a "troublemaker" and he felt that he had to protect his name and reputation from being tarnished and from being ruined. The Senator said it was wrong for the Congressman to use his name as an example just to make his point understood.

I guess this just shows how really stupid and brainless the people we elect in office. It was very clear that the Congressman-Prosecutor was only giving an example and it was in no means trying to insult the Senator. But you can never expect an unqualified and probably an uneducated man to understand such things. It was taken literally by the Senator, proving that he's just another dumb ass actor after all. Yeah sure, he was protecting his untarnished name from being maligned. A name which carries with it 88 illegitimate siblings (as proudly admitted by his ex-Senator father), a half-brother who was murdered by his own brothers and sisters just because of a squabble over their monthly financial support from their ex-Senator dad.

Some name and image to protect, huh? I guess being an actor and a politician does make you become a legend. Maybe after portraying a character in a fantasy movie named "Panday" (Blacksmith) for so many times and then being elected as a Senator with the highest votes, it kind of blurred the line between reality and fantasy for him. I guess, he's a legend in his own mind now......

Corporate Greed at its Best!

Prudential Life Plans have recently announced that it will stop paying its Educational and Pension plan holders their premiums. It appears that the pre-need company is near bankruptcy and more 300 thousand plan holders are affected. To put it simply, the poor folks who religiously, honestly, dutifully and unfailingly paid their pre-need plans for so many years will get nothing, naught, nil, zippo, zip, zilch for all their sacrifices. In short, they got screwed!

News reports say that the owners of Prudential Life invested most of their loot, I mean money abroad and were lost due to the Global Financial Meltdown. Probably true but the owners would never admit to squandering most the plan holders hard earned cash in buying expensive sports cars, luxurious mansions here and abroad, lavish jewelries that would put Imelda Marcos' "bling-blings" to shame and many other lifestyles for the rich and famous.

Yup, the Prudential Company went broke because of the mismanagement or mishandling of the company's funds by the owners. They probably thought it was all their money to spend, like it was their God given gift, "Manna from Heaven" just for them to enjoy. A classic example of "Corporate Greed" which caused the economy of the most powerful and richest nations to collapse into nothing more than a pile of shit.

And who are the worst affected by these gluttony and self-indulgence? Who else but the poor, honest, hard-working and God-fearing people who were only trying their best to make things right for their family. It's always the decent and morally upright people who are always victimized by these evil people....you Corporate Scumbags!!!!

Aunt "Brenda" Strikes Again.....

Senator Miriam Defensor-Santiago openly called her fellow Senator-Judges  at the Impeachment Trial as "stupid' and nothing but "illiterate amoebas". Then the Lady Senator refused to participate in future hearings of the trial, claiming it will only exacerbate her hypertension. I guess the Lady senator is correct at calling her peers stupid and illiterate as most of the Senators were just elected due to their popularity and not for their educational attainment or qualifications.

Take for example Sen. Jinggoy Estrada, the son of ex-Pres. Joseph Estrada. He's a former actor turned politician so he got elected in office. Sen. Ramon "Bong" Revilla Jr. was also an actor and a son of a former senator/actor too, ex-Sen. Ramon "Anting-anting" (Amulet) Revilla, Sr. a famous actor due to his various portrayal of heroes using amulets to defeat the bad guys. Let's not forget Sen. Lito "Leon Guerrero" Lapid, also a former action star. I think all of them are not qualified as senators for lacking the necessary educational qualifications like a college diploma and brains...

Yup, most of the Philippines top political leaders are either former actors and actresses or famous athletes like Congressman Manny Pacquiao and of course, the usual "Trapos" (dirty rags) or "Traditional Politicians". This really refers to persons or families who made politics as their lifelong careers, their 'bread and butter", and their family business and will never let go of their positions "come hell or high water". They just keep on passing it over and over and over to the next generation "until hell freezes over"!

While Sen. Miriam Defensor-Santiago is a brilliant politician, being a superb lawyer and an exceptional former court judge but she was also known to have made alliances with the wrong people like ex-Pres. Erap Estrada and then ex-Pres. Gloria Arroyo in the past. She's also famous for her weird jokes, comments and behavior which made people start calling her "Brenda", meaning "brain damaged". I like Sen. "Brenda", she makes me laugh a lot but I guess she's getting paid too much for her funny antics. Being payed Php200Million a year in "Pork Barrel" is no laughing matter, it's too high a price for a comedian, even if she's a brilliant one.

Metro Manila Divided into Four?

Geologists say that if a strong earthquake hits Metro Manila, it could divide the Metro into four parts. Since there are 2 Major Fault lines located in Metro Manila namely; the West Valley Fault and the East Valley Fault of the Marikina Fault System which have been dormant for more than 200 years, scientists say a large and powerful earthquake is inevitable. A 7.2 or higher may kill more than 35,000 people and injure up to 120,000 more due to the highly urbanized area and to the numerous multistory buildings found in the Metropolis. More than 3 million people have to be relocated or to be evacuated from danger zones.

The scientists were particularly concerned with the West and East Marikina Valley Faults since it has been storing energy for more than 200 years that it will result in a very strong and destructive seismic activity that will devastate most of Metro Manila. Experts say liquefaction of the soil, extreme damage to buildings as well as fires erupting all over the various cities is to be expected. They said the Metropolis could be divided into four parts once the "Big One" hits. The entire Search and Rescue Teams, Police and Military as well as the Fire Department of the whole country will be overwhelmed by the enormous damage and massive number of victims. A real scary "Doomsday" scenario!

A really terrifying prediction I must admit, remember the last 9.0 earthquake that hit Japan? Wow! That's a big one and Japan is known to have built their infrastructure to withstand such destructive tremors but still most of their buildings and infrastructures were damaged. Tsunamis are also a scary phenomenon it is also very devastating. It was the Tsunami generated by the strong quake that killed thousands in Japan and not the quake itself. The Japanese Government was well prepared but still they were overwhelmed by the disaster!

I hope that the strong quake being predicted by the Geologists in our country would never happen but that is wishful thinking. It is an inevitable event and it's only a matter of time when it will strike. If it does hit and causes so much damage and casualty as predicted by the scientists.....May God help us because it will be a real catastrophic event!

Meek as a Lamb.

Finally, the Porsche driving, gun-toting Bureau of Customs clerk grants an interview with the media. At last, this tough guy shows his ugly face on TV. I was really disappointed though because he wasn't so tough now, as a matter of fact he was teary eyed and "meek as a lamb", and all the while I imagined him acting like some "Bad Ass" Hollywood actor driving fast and shooting his big bad gun at the enemy.

I almost bought his story of how he had been working for almost 20 years at the Bureau and that he's just a simple guy like everybody else, finding it hard to make ends meet. He said the Porsche was not actually his but it was in his possession that night because he was moonlighting as a car salesman and that he was trying to sell that car.

This guy has been lying all his life that I bet he himself believes what he's saying. This guy's a dork, a thief and an A-Hole rolled into one. Does he expect the public to believe his lies and his stupid "teary-eyed, weakling" act? His just trying to weasel his way out of all his violations. To name a few, ill-gotten wealth, illegal discharge of a firearm and maybe frustrated homicide for shooting at the 2 students who accidentally grazed his ride. Yeah, once a crook, always a crook!

I hope the new Bureau of Customs Commissioner fires this guys' dumb ass and files all the necessary charges in court so this tough guy can show off his macho image in a jail cell. But then again he's got lots of money so he probably won't go to jail. Besides, everybody in Government is a crook so they will protect their own kind. You can always count on that.
